Is it me or is the Binary Rifle rarer than a pixie riding a unicorn ? I’ve played over 600 games and only seen about five people using them and I only got one as a random weapon ( Got killed before I could fire it ! )
Would be nice to how it as a pick up in a map to give people a chance to use it !?
It would be nice to have it as a power weapon on a map somewhere, sure! I’ve only used it in campaign, and seen it a few times in warzone used by other players. As far as I know, there’s no way to get a binary rifle besides REQs in warzone, it’d be a nice to have it as a drop in a map in arena somewhere.
Every Arena map is basically UNSC weapons and a few Covenant ones. I haven’t seen a single Incineration Cannon, Beam Rifle, or Binary Rifle outside of Campaign and Warzone.
the binary rifle got a very balanced change
it was waaaay OP in H4 despite it having a “hey here i am!” beam coming from it when aiming
if it grazes your eyelash you are done
in H5 it has a slightly longer TTK and the focus rifle style beam
harder to use/snipe with in chaotic battles
i find it more effective against vehicles but only have the upgraded one unlocked (4 in the mag) yet only have 3 or 4 at anytime so i only use them when a banshee or wraith is being annoying

I sell my Binary Rifles the instant I get them. You’re better off sniping with a good ol’ sniper rifle.
It’s because it’s so damn OP! I had gotten “Retina of the minds eye” as a random weapon and the thing was so powerful; I pulled the trigger and “swept” from right to left over the battlefield and got a triple kill.

I find them to be incredibly useless to me. I can pick up a killtacular easily with a regular sniper. Hand me that binary rifle, maybe a double.
This goes for Binary, Retina, and Mathrillian…all of them are very difficult to use in my opinion.

Wish I had recorded it, it was one of my first few Warzone games. Haven’t gotten a binary rifle since.
And I know; Video or it didn’t happen, but I remember it, and still sit at just 3 binary rifle kills.
Dont have a Kinect and didn’t want to lose it by double tapping to record.

I’ve hadn’t seen many binary rifles in Warzone either, but from what I know, I believe it’s a Rare/Ultra-Rare REQ unlock. I don’t have a standard Binary rifle req unlock, but I do have the Retina of Meridian’s Eye(or something like that). It’s an Ultra-rare unlock; I have only have ~10 of them, and I RARELY use it. And on a side note, that Binary Rifle variant was my very first Ultra-Rare unlock in Halo 5, and if don’t have it unlocked yet/picked it up from a defeated player, it has 4 rounds in a magazine instead of the occasional 2 :).
Ive only managed to get my hands on one in the campaign ( where its a must against the wardens on leg) would love to see it on some maps as a power weapon
you’re matched (in warzone) with people that have similar stuff unlocked. so if you don’t have some almost top tier stuff unlocked then you aren’t likely to be matched with people that do. it would be unfair to match people with only common reqs with people whom have legendary tier reqs. I don’t have a source but it was in one of the sprint videos they talked about it. I know OP said they played like 600 games so in that aspect it is weird to have not seen some of the more rare weapons but from personal experience warzone gets way better once you have more unlocks. I just finished my silver packs so I only have ultra rare and up stuff to unlock and I always see some crazy weapons in play that I don’t have or have rarely seen. hope that helps.

Pretty much. I don’t have the Binary cert yet but I got one from a Random Weapon REQ and I couldn’t seem to do much with it. It’s practically useless for sniping moving targets because of its Focus Rifle-like beam, then combine that with Halo 5’s wonky aim acceleration and it becomes an orange paperweight.

Yeah the commendation packs is pretty usless -.-

If you ever find the source to this, Message me. I am curiouis about this… Maybe that’s why I have been getting my -Yoink- handed to me playing now… since I got a couple ultra rares and such
One reason I asked is it makes getting all the commendations impossible!
I’ve got half and quickly heading on getting the reason but yet to get a single kill with a Binary Rifle.
I maybe rubbish but if your trying to max out this is like a wall and spoils the whole thing ?
