Don’t know about you guys, but the look of it is not really impressive. In that footage, it just looked like an obese light rifle. It had unnecessary fat in three wrong places lol. Ok seriously though, it looks clunky and unfinished to me.
Especially from 1st person point of view, it’s not pleasing to the eye. The design shape could have been much better and the gray coloring is dull looking.
Thoughts.
I don’t have a problem with it. I’m slightly more concerned how it will affect the balance of the sandbox. Looks fine to me

I love the look of it, plus you can hit them anywhere in the body for a kill, easier for people like me who aren’t amazing snipers.
I kind of agree. From the outside it looks fantastic, but the first person view makes it look like a fat Light Rifle xD
Currently the Light Rifle and Boltshot are going to be my intended main-use weapons.
The BiRi just feels at home. It’s not like we have constant Forge Grey to go with all just that weapon set

arent you BA. watch yourself buddy, i can talk wherever i want. ALSO, the only thing im worried about are the changes to CTF. I’ve played Halo since halo 2 and i currently own all of the games (except reach because its trash). i may have never played halo 2 online, but that game was all i played when it came out (splitscreen all day). Halo has been my favourite video game since i got halo 2 back when i was like 10 years old. so dont tell me if i care about the game.
FYI: saying that i like the binary rifles look and function is ALSO AN OPINION

thanks man. i could say the same thing about the profanity filter. i wouldve gone off at this guy.
i also actually care about halo since its been my favourite video game since i first bought halo 2 (first halo game for me). to call me a fanboy for liking pretty much all the changes in this game (other than the CTF ones) is ridiculous

I actually enjoy the look. From reading the Forerunner saga, I started picturing all Forerunner artifacts to be pretty similar in design. I can see why you may think it looks a bit similar to the Light Rifle, though. I wouldn’t mind either way if they changed it or left it the same.
OT: Not that this is of much importance, but is it just me, or is the sandbox seeming a little over-saturated with snipers? Sniper + Beam Rifle + Binary Rifle seems a bit much. Not that an extra sniper will throw off balance or anything, I’m just a little curious as to why the felt the need for it. It seems more like a midpoint between the two pre-existing snipers. Not sure if that warrants its own place in the sandbox.
^ Not complaining, by the way, just curious.

It might just be unfinished…they changed the sniper rifle look since E3
I truly dislike all of the Promothean designs. Haven’t even considered touching the LR.
On top of the ugly weapons most of the armor abilities seem to be Promothean based, hideous, and just all around out there. They don’t make any sense. Specifically the auto turret and regen field abilities.
Striking a pose and causing a turret to appear out of nothing isn’t cool. It’s limited. And frankly not Halo.

Yeah sorry about that mate, just wanted to get that off my chest. I completely agree with you in that the Binary’s look is unimpressive and is too similar to the Light Rifle.
