Warzone has great gameplay and can be both fun and frustrating. But, in my experience playing many matches, the team that captures the middle base first, at the very beginning of the game wins. My team has only won once after failing to capture the middle base first. This even includes when the middle base (rarely) switches teams mid-game. But, if your team captures the middle base first, you win, which makes playing out the rest of the match just a pointless exercise, as the match has almost certainly been decided. I would love to see some statistics on this from 343 on this. Maybe the middle base needs to be easier to capture from the other team or should potentially switch sides throughout the game. I don’t know, but as of now, it is broken.
Agreed! I love warzone but, unless you have a solid team, you almost can never get the middle base from the team that gets it first. In a pool of 20 games, my team has been able to recover it from another team may 5 games. lol.
As is, it does feel kind of broken, but also makes sense. I don;t quite know what kinda fix they could add besides maybe making it a bit easier like you said.
Usually the team to get the middle base first is the better team. It also doesn’t help that they usually have an advantage because they control the middle base.
this is why i drive a scout hog around the enemy team at the start… it lasts long enough for nearly my entire team to get in the middle location while only a few enemies ever stop shooting me long enough to get to the middle themselves…
that said, teams that get the middle VERY OFTEN GET TUNNEL VISION AND FORGET THEIR REAR BASE.
you can very easily get their base solo and the ability to spawn on both sides effectively boxes them in for slaughter.
I typically find that, and I’ve done a lot of research on this, the team that I’m on tends to lose the most. lol
I find last hitting bosses for points more broken than this.
The middle base does sort of become the focus for capture, but it really shouldn’t be.
The real game is flanking the rear base. Not a lot of people are there, they sort of leave it behind.
Bosses can make a good distraction for a few people to slip in and take the base too, so there’s that too.
Getting or losing the middle base doesn’t lose a game, coordination does, but there’s very little of that with 12 (mostly) strangers.
It gives you motive to capture the middle base tho

Silver. Actually, I unlocked the noble helmet earlier today as well. Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful.Seriously though, I have both a mongoose and a worthlesshog certification, so if nothing else I’ll have plenty of items to recycle to try to get something useful in the future.
