Bigger IS better!!

What is consistently the most populated playlist?
That’s right, it’s Infinity BTB.

Which is why it’s about time we had some more BIG maps. All this running around confined spaces with an AR or Suppressor spraying ‘n’ praying is only slightly more enjoyable than H4’s turgid Campaign.

Large maps is where it’s at.

Now kids, sing along with me:

“Oh, give me land, lots of land under starry skies above
Don’t fence me in…”

Halo was originally a 4V4 Game, hence why people are annoyed at the lack of small maps.

I actually like smaller maps because of the close quarter combat. Big maps would be more fun if I didn’t get shot across the map from some guy using Active Camo inside of a cave.

The DMR has broken Big-Team gameplay.

Having completed CTF mastery…just a few victories for Dominion and KOTH left to get…I almost always play BTIS (formerly known as BTB) and, as for CQC, I can say that it is alive and well on big maps.

For each big map, there is the opportunity to have a load-out which enables one to play long range or, up in someones face-to-face,aka CQC…a properly selected load-out allows one to do both in the same game. There is the opportunity to take different routes if you find yourself being killed going one way. I don’t die as much as I kill because I do not run across open fields!

In my view, the only map which doesn’t have as much CQC fun as I’d like, is Ragnarok.

Play smart.

Its comical that you come out with amazing revelation after most people (7/8th) have ditched this game. But sure I’ll give you that out of all those who didn’t vote with their feet - their preferred game-type is Big IS.

No it hasn’t.

I have never had a BTIS game yet where the majority of players have the DMR as their ‘Tool of Destruction’. Fact is, if anyone who always uses the DMR excuse bothered to actually look at the carnage reports after each game, they would not bother with such a false claim. And, for the ones that still insist on doing so, I enjoy going to their own stats page and proving them wrong!

They should call it Big Team Infinity Throwdown Slayer because I like acronyms.

People don’t have to have it as their tool of destruction for the DMR to have changed the core mechanic of Big Team play. You spawn with a mini-sniper that is easier to use than a sniper. There is no reason to move around the map. It promotes camping. You can’t move around the map at all otherwise you will be shot 5 times perfectly across the map by the guy who hasn’t moved from his spawn…Please prove me wrong. I would love to hear how the DMR is a good thing. Good luck looking at my stats I never play BTB for exactly that reason

whatever dude. Did you even play the original halo. first off the campaign was huge. Also the multiplayer maps that came with it were huge, like blood gulch, sidewinder, rat race, boarding action, hang em high, and damnation. compared to what 343 considers small competitive maps these are ginormous.

Relax, 2 of the 3 map packs are tuned to BTB.

I would love BTB on smaller maps so “I” wouldn’t say that the map size is what keeps people coming back to the playlist, but more or less the fact that there is twice as many players.

kinda makes me feel like I’m playing a big custom game. Thats why I like it.

I like big maps, and lots of vehicle space, and long-range battles. I would love to see the new maps in action. =D

I wish they would put in BtB Heavies, there is literally only one map that has the tank and that is Exile.

4v4 is a better game… Halo 4 infinity settings sucked for small maps.

I played BTB not because it was good, its played because infinity slayer ep settings were bad.

> Halo was originally a 4V4 Game, hence why people are annoyed at the lack of small maps.

Not at all, Halo has always been a great mix of small, medium and large maps. In fact, way back in the day, Halo was most well known for its seamless integration of infantry and vehicle combat. That’s one of the reasons that all of the new maps that came with Halo PC were all big team maps with vehicles on them.

You think that the maps that came with Halo 4 are big? Or even Invasion maps in Reach? You must have never played on Infinity or Death Island, since they dwarf any map in this game.

That acronym is only interesting if you drop the “big” and just keep Team Infinity Throwdown Slayer

> The DMR has broken Big-Team gameplay.

this

halo 4s 4v4 play is chaotic and the flow of 8v8 is broken by the DMR

Halo 4 is a BTB orientated game. Of course one of the highest populated playlists would be Big Team.
Social Slayer and Team Slayer were the most populated playlists in Halo 3, why is that you ask? Because Halo 3 was more 4v4/5v5 orientated.

Wasted my time replying to this, but I did it to prove a point.
