I apologize ahead of time if this topic was already discussed on another topic and a link to said topic would be appreciated. I have only started playing online recently and have been enjoying the Big Team Infinity Slayer playlist, but I am more of an objective player and there is no objective playlist for large teams (12-16 players)(excluding the DLC playlist). What I am wondering is if there was one and it was removed for some reason or if there was no such playlist to begin with. Is there any interest in the community to have such a playlist or a hybrid slayer/objective playlist like Big Team Battle (BTB) was? Also would like to know if this is going to be like Halo 3 was where BTB was made a DLC only playlist.

Thanks for the quick reply. I wanted to make sure that there wasn’t something I was missing out on. I hope they do not keep it so DLC is required to play a BTB game (like they have with the Crimson playlist). One can hope, right?
That’s not even btb it’s 6v6, one more per team then ctf (wheres assault, one flag?). I’d like to see alot of the original playlist back in, I guess 343 assumed we didn’t like playing the other halo games so thats why we bought this one 
I don’t think they would make the DLC required in any of the playlists, judging by Halo Reach. They will recommend their DLC, but they probably won’t force you to purchase it. Crimson DLC is actually the only playlist I know of where there are different gametypes within a playlist, so I don’t think 343i is ready to make a Big Team playlist both slayer AND objective. But Big Team Slayer is very popular, so I could see them adding a possible Big Team Objective in the future. They like to try out temporary one week playlists to see how they fare, so you might suggest or push for a Big Team Objective playlist. I’m sure that would be fairly popular as well because a lot of players seem to prefer big games.
I hope they make some DLC required playlist I hated Reach for not having that.

You are probably right about 343 rotating playlists in and out. I would not know as I have only been playing online for ~3 days. I hope they bring it as a possible playlist. As for LoneWolF’s comment I understand why Bungie did not make a DLC required playlist as those playlists are relatively empty compared to the standard playlists.

I don’t know why they never put in a btb objective playlist. I can say that the btb community wasn’t happy about it. I think it’s a huge mistake to only have slayer as a playlist.

I hated the thing with H3’s BTB, I had to buy the DLC. Even though I didn’t want it.

Not sure if this is a sarcastic post or not. Anyway was there ever even a BTB playlist or at least an objective playlist for larger teams that had larger teams?
