Why do we rarely see great big team maps such as Paradiso in the search anymore?..Also will playability be improved on big team maps if tanks are removed or there is a choice such as big team heavy as in Halo 3?
I believe that Paradiso was either removed outright or had its choice weighting severely downgraded. The matchmaking roster was changed to offer greater community inclusion; there’s a lot of fan-made maps in BTB now.
As for tanks; there’s very few maps that actually spawn tanks outside of Invasion, and only one has a Scorpion.
If I remember correctly Paradiso got removed. Also if you feel that map was great and balanced you must have a tumor on your brain. 0.0
Paradiso still exists, I played it just the other day. The weighting is incredibly low though. I’m so sick of playing on garbage community maps though. Paradiso and Hemmorhage are the only two Big Team maps that I enjoy playing on.

I go to BTB for epic vehicular battles, not a Spam war, or a game of how-long-can-i-stay-alive-in-a-falcon
and the Maps ruin it as well
only one map is present that acctualy has a DECENT number of vehicles, and that is hemorhage
all the other maps, are sad
the Tank only appears in Boneyard, and get NO love

Reach BTB is easily the best ever. Maps are the great.
You have no idea. There are maps with more vehicles than Hemo.
Tank is on more than just Boneyard
BTB is the main playlist I frequent with Invasion in second. Although it doesn’t have some of the maps the Halo 3 had (BTB on Avalanche/Heavy was AWESOME!) it still has it’s good points. My only issue is that Hemorrhage shows up much too often.
Also, I actually liked Paradiso. Utopio or w/e it is is good, too, but I don’t get the same feelings from it as I did Paradiso.
Paradiso was probably my favorite map, for a multitude of reasons.
I personally hate Hemorrhage; as it is it’s is nothing but a DMR snipefest with a few Snipers thrown in, as well as death traps called vehicles. I haven’t had one fun game on it (except Elite slayer), although that’s partially due to consistantly rewriting the book on what constitutes a bad teammate. WTF, can we please fix TrueSkill or whatever the heck matches us with these idiots?
Anyway, Paradiso had two things that are IMO essential to BTB–Scorpions and Banshees. I personally think anyone who complains about being spawnkilled is an idiot–you spawn with the DMR for heaven’s sake–but I do realize that the aforementioned teammates can bring you down.
The Banshees had a lot of cover, so the DMR/Sniper was TOO good against them, but like I said before, it was hard to spawnkill consistently, especially with AAs.
–Sprint: Fast transit into base where there’s a Plasma Pistol, or into caves where you can get somewhere completely different.
–Evade: Same as Sprint, but usefull in dodging bombs (and even I agree they should be SLIGHTLY nerfed)
–Jetpack: Same as Sprint, plus harder to hit when in the air and possibility of jacking
–Hologram: Let’s face it, this is useless with the limitations set on it (no name, flickers from distance)
–Drop Shield/Armor Lock/Active Camo: Do I really need to explain these?
The Tanks had there movement limited by the many rocks–even limited too much one might say. Jacking became very easy if the driver attempted to move out of either base, but once in the other he was guaranteed a killing spree, maybe frenzy–but isn’t that what’s supposed to happen in a tank?
I realize what I’ve said about spawnkilling can have complications–the Banshee/tank has a whole team behind it, which can complicate things, and your (the defender’s) teamates may suck, but I still favor Paradiso above all other BTB maps (except maybe Breakpoint, which became less awesome with the removal of Banshees).
On the topic of Hemorrhage, I just made a “fix” for it–no playtesting yet though 
Laceration
