The majority of the big team battle maps look horrible, made from forge assets with no textures looks like a high school students graphic design project. We need more ‘class’ in map design like halo 4 and 3 big team maps with actual assets instead of basic geometry and color’s.
They`re just being lazy and using forge to do this stuff pretty much ahha but true.
It would be nice to have at least 1 or 2 dev maps for BTB before the updates end.
Even if they just created new maps but using assets from the Warzone Maps, a bit like a remix.
Imagine a ‘sort of’ remake of Bloodgulch with the Apex 7 spires as the bases at either side, with the map having a jungle theme and a beach at one end.
im hoping in halo 6 they arent lazy as -Yoink- and use forge for 85% of everything. 5%is the little thats not forged in warzone and the other 10% is arena
BTW this is just an educated guess seeing as how over 3/4 of everything in the game is forged
I wold 100% undeniably rather have community-forged maps than 343’s horrible ideas. Forge is beautiful, and just because a railing doesn’t have infinite detail doesn’t mean it’s lazy. It means it works.
I haven’t had ANY screen lag in Forge maps, where in Halo 4 I had TREMENDOUS lag every time I played a decently-forged map. Forge is about the only thing 343i got right with Halo 5, and maps like Eagle Square are beautiful and well-made.
Halo 3’s graphics were some of the best in Halo’s history because they were functioning. They had detail, but it wasn’t super fine. The Forge maps looked great, and you could play them with no lag whatsoever. Reach made it pretty difficult to play with more than one person, and objects lost detail as you added more. Halo 4 had the same issues, but it still had issues with single player as well. Halo 5’s Forge is perfect for matchmaking, and if you think you can’t add detail to a map, you’re mistaken. Go watch videos of The Pit remake, or countless other forge maps, and tell me there isn’t any detail.
