Big Team is the most popular playlist?

Is it me, or is there something not quite right when Big Team is the most popular playlist?

Sure it’s more visible now, but I can’t ever remember it being more popular than Team Slayer (4v4); unless of course there was some jackpot in BTB or something.

Me personally, I avoid Infinity Slayer (4v4) like the plague since it plays so much differently now. What do you think?

Am I crazy to think there’s something the matter when BTB is the most popular playlist?

Whenever I played Halo 3 (2007 to 2009) there were always more people in BTB than anything else. BTB on Sand Trap was sort of the flagship battleground of Halo 3 in my mind. Was I just on at weird hours or something? (Quite possible, as I’m a night owl.)

I don’t think you are, but I just think btb is flooded with more of the casual gaming crowd over the competitive crowd due to the large amount of vehicles and power weapons is all.

As for infinity slayer, I find it more enjoyable than slayer pro as an mlg tryhard myself. Slayer pro still kept in needlers, swords, SAWs and other stupid weapons not really suitable for competitive play IMO, as well as random ordinance and instant spawns. It doesn’t feel the way competitive slayer should when map control goes to the pooper with instant spawns + sprint, and there is no map movement encouraged seeing as ordinance is still random, not timed.

IMO, the gametype hierarchy goes:

Customs > CTF > Infinity slayer/Koth/Oddball > Everything else except SWAT >>>>>>>>>> a bucket of poop >>>> SWAT
