big team betrayals

i dont know why but with the btb superjackpot weekend i decided to play btb.

i did not have any friends online so i just searched for players like i would for swat.

in every game i have played of btb this weekedn i have been punched, shot at, my falcon criticaly damaged and my banshee shot down… BY MY -Yoink!- TEAM MATES!!!

WTF man?

last night i was playing and i jumped in the back of a warthog with rockets and my team mate threw a grenade at me

later i had my assasination (nearly impossible to get in btb) yoinked deliberatly and he was laughing and saying that it was awesome to his mates so i shot them all with a rocket launcher and i get abused for it

my rank btw is hero, it is a sign that i have played for a while but these guys were really high ranked.

what am i supposed to do when i play and have people like that on my team

Am I wrong for betraying my team mates for damaging my health or vehicle, to the point that the enemy kills me with 1 shot from a plasma pistol?

Unfortunately, people seem to get off on griefing people on their own team. It sucks, but that’s just the way people seem to work…

I find that just ignoring them seems to work most of the time.

Welcome to BTB as it is today. Unfortunately this is what has happened to this great game now. But you are right to betray them back. The betrayal booting system is stuffed so most people can get away with a few. Playing as a party of 4 the other day we got put with another party of 4 guys against a team of 8 randoms. Low and behold i get betrayed jumping into the Guass Warthog them he betrays my mate that approached the car to drive him. He gets booted and then the next guy in his team starts betraying us. He gets booted. Third guy, the same again and the 4th left after the third got booted. At that point we were down by 15 points with all the guys that got booted had minus 1 kills collectively between them. With the betrayers gone we turned it around and won.

Play with randoms and that’s what happens.

lol get booted op. the other players were probably trying to get you off of their team, as you were probably dying too much.

Shaddosa you are welcome to add me to your FR as I play BTB a lot. I don’t appreciate grievers either, and I’m in the top 7% of players for BTB even though I usually go in solo, so I’d be happy to help you out as much as I can

Do your teammates say this you?

> Am I wrong for betraying my team mates for damaging my health or vehicle, to the point that the enemy kills me with 1 shot from a plasma pistol?

I wouldn’t go as far as killing them, but I do like to annoy them

Im tired of getting booted after accidently betraying i mean once or twice but not right away

BTB used to be fun but to be honest, it’s just full of rage quitting noobs and betrayers. Like literally EVERY game there’s at least two per team.

Halo 4 - You can’t come soon enough.

Just annoy them as much as you can thats what i do. Alot of people betray because others take their weapons and/or vehicles.

There are two types of people who betray others.

Player 1.
You have nothing that they want and the person just does it for a laugh. Most likely with this player I wouldn’t waste my time or effort.

Player 2.
You have a power weapon and they want it because they think of themselves as the ultimate Halo player. With this person occasionally I will go out of my way to make his game as miserable as possible and harass them till he continuously betrays me to the point I boot him out or he quits.

Unfortunately that’s how it is. Usually betrayals aren’t that much of an issue, but the thing that peeves me off the most is when a teammate betrays you deliberately over and over again, without you getting the option to boot, then you kill them back, and get booted first time.

Also when you’re sniping, and someone will either a) kill you for ‘THEIR’ weapon or b) stand in front of you so you accidentally betray them, so you get booted and they get your gun. It wouldn’t be so bad if they fixed the booting system, you can get away with one (accidents happen) but when you betray a second person then they have option to boot.

Thanked as I could not have put it better myself.

Of course he was dying too much, HIS TEAMMATES WERE KILLING HIM!

Same here, I don’t have many friends who play Reach anymore. Playing BTB alone sucks, no matter how good you are.

Really it is only bad when you run into inheritor power teams who vote for objective just so they can spawn kill and lie to themselves about how good they are. To date I’ve seen 2 inheritor teams actually choose slayer, so I stuck in the match and personally did fine (We still lost of course) but they had my respect for that.

It really depends on who you’re stuck with. I’ve seen a team of randoms where only half the people had mics fend off inheritor teams before, I’ve also seen people immediately quit. If other people have mics I won’t quit until others do, but if my team doesn’t even have mics or won’t even leave party chat then honestly they’re beyond saving and I just leave.

What is really bad is when you have a guy and his 3 guests, then people vote for BTB Snipers, ugggggghhhhhhhhhhh

Bad for you or bad for them? I’ve played SWAT where a guy and his 3 guests were matched against me and three other randoms. We destroyed them so badly. I even managed to get a rampage in the game (get this, it was on Uncaged, the odds of being headshot by someone you didn’t see are massive) and was on my way to a Unfrigg, but we won first.

Bad for both of us really. Bad for them for trying to snipe on 4 way split screen, and bad for me trying to figure out a way to carry the team with them on it (Last time this happened to me they collectively went -47).

Yeah, I don’t get why they allow guests to play online. 2 people I can understand (1v1 kinda sucks) but 4? That should be regulated to locals only.
