Big Team Battle is practically unplayable for me. I search and search and search, but I can’t seem to find a match. I’m not sure if it was caused by a more recent update, or the population of the playlist (which really needs displayed for times like these), but I can’t find one. Matchmaking in at least Halo 1 and team slayer works perfectly fine for me, so I’m not sure what the problem is.
Thing is, BTB is generally my favorite playlist, so it sucks not being able to play it. If you could please do something about this 343, I would appreciate it!
What’s annoying me most, is that all I play is Big Team Battle, so since it’s not working, I consider MCC matchmaking to be pretty much entirely broken.
ITs broken 343 you need to fix MCC. It takes forever to find a match and then when you do it gets to the loading screen then it doesn’t load and says game over. I even had one match in BTB start then end as if it had been a rumble pit game saying one player had one. Its really messed up MCC needs to be 343s #1 priority until fixed.
What country’s are you’s from? I’m from Australia and I never get into btb. I haven’t even driven a warthog in halo multiplayer yet.
BTB is the most popular playlist in H4, and my personal favourite. But I haven’t managed to find a single game in MCC. I gave up after 30 minutes of “search for players”, “searching for more players”. I’m in Australia, and I can only guess that no-one is actually playing, rather than assuming that matchmaking is stuffed.
What’s weird is last week I was able to get into a game or two, but this week its been super long waits.
I was trying last night and for some reason it was working, and I don’t get a message saying “awaiting for privileges”. There was only one game that started in end game. Whenever it took too long I would just exit the to menu and go back in, usually a quick message would come up saying its syncing matchmaking and then it would work. (A bit slow but none the less working).
The primary issue would be a lack of player population. Many players have given up on the Master Chief Collection as far as multiplayer goes so few bother dealing with waiting around for a Big Team Battle game. I tend to stick with the Halo 2 Anniversary playlist since it’s far easier to catch a game with 8 people than anything higher or with the Halo 5 Beta.
It’s a shame, really. Since Big Team Battle has always been a favorite of mine throughout the series.

BTB sucks there is a very small minority who play it hence the reason it takes forever to get a game!
Big Team Battle is why my friends and I bought MCC and I can’t believe that 2 months after release we still have yet to play one game.
Never would I have thought that 1. It would be released this broken, and 2. that it would be almost 60 days since release and its still not fixed.
Feel bad for the kids who got an Xbox One and MCC on Xmas as their main game.

we had a weekend group together, how i met quite a few friends too.
Thought i upgraded…

This game had so much potential with a BTB playlist of all 4 games. But it’s been a disgrace to say the least…

I’m in New Zealand and I have the exact same problem. It goes from “searching for players” to “searching for more players” and then just stays at that forever. Also other playlists that are broken for me are; HCS, H2C, H1 and Rumble.
Yes BTB is still a nightmare and seemed to be insanely bad over the weekend. I had 5 disconnects in a row in BTB. Usually once the game starts its fine but not this weekend. Its to the point now where I don’t even want to waste my time even trying TMCC multiplayer any more. I am a very patient person but it simply is not even worth wasting time with this mp any more. It doesn’t even seem like our replies and feedback in the forums is doing any good either.
