What do you expect from big team battle in halo 5 and what do you want ?
I honestly thought Big Team Battle in Halo was very very unbalanced. People steal your kills like every time and if your team doesn’t grab the Mantis first, well the enemy scores ANOTHER Mantis (Trust me, this happened before where the enemy team had 2 Mantis’s). Hopefully, if Big Team battle does return that it’s a lot more fair, there aren’t Mantis’s everywhere blowing things up and getting a butt-ton of points.
I think we will see a bigger big team battle with some of the vehicles people have been begging for since Halo CE. Possibly with loadouts because 343’s wording about arena multiplayer seems to imply that is only part of the multiplayer.
Id love to see bigger battles. 16vs16 would be so much fun. Arena is cool but not my thing. Keep that 4v4 but give us bigger battles.

Having bigger teams would be so boss. js
Maybe if there were to be bigger teams though, to balance out the fact that you would have so many bullets flying, an armor upgrade would be implemented.
BTB is what I am worried about the most. Ideally I would like BTB to not be far removed from the Arena aspect. 8v8 with emphasis on map/weapon/vehicle control. I enjoyed BTB in the past because it simply added more players and vehicles to the exisitng formula. I don’t play Halo BTB for some large scale battle experience, if I wanted that I just go play Battlefield instead(that said I would probably love a BF style Halo spin-off). I play it for a well structured, slightly larger Arena experience.
However I am worried that many of the mechanics that I hated the most in Reach/H4 such as loadouts or ordnance are simply hiding in BTB. The “Arena is only a small part of Halo 5” qualifier makes me worry that 343 is going to go for the ill-fated ‘appeal to everyone’ route. I also worry that 343 will be upping the player count with needlessly large maps. Halo 5 midship is already inflated to a hilarious degree due to sprint and other factors, I can only imagine how much dead space has been added to BTB maps.
Upping the player count would likely turn BTB into 24/7 heavies because the Halo sandbox is not designed around large scale encounters.
To be quite honest what 343 is doing with BTB will be a major factor in deciding whether I will even get an X1 and Halo 5.
Please don’t turn BTB into a dumping ground for terrible unbalanced mechanics simply because it is not quite as competitive focused as 4v4.
You guys think they will have BTB in Halo 5? You would of thought we would of seen some gameplay footage on some Big Team maps if Halo 5 was going to have it by now.

Umm… 343i specifically stated that what we’ve of Halo 5 is a very small taste of the full multiplayer experience. The beta is just focusing on the arena part, which is why that’s all we’ve seen.
Bf-halo spinoff, isn’t that battlefront(hopefully battlefront 3)
Honestly I just want more vehicles(unsc flying vehicles, phantoms, pelicans, and some new covenant vehicles)and maybe a 10v10, 12v12 at most.
If they bring Pelicans and Phantoms into the multiplayer games then many people will be happy, have hornet and falcon and add many different vehicles from Halo Wars possibly
I’m worried that the Sprint/Dash/Ground pound will make infantry overwhelmingly more powerful than vehicles. Still, I enjoyed BTB in Reach…

The spartan abilities mainly serve to enhance mobility and smaller scale combat situations. I really don’t think vehicles will do anything.
Ramming your shoulder into a Scorpion won’t do anything but get an explosive round in your face.

What about ground pound? I mean a thruster pack straight down at 70 miles per hour(possibly a over exaggeration) won’t hurt a tank? and also tanks were very powerful because they were faster than spartans so that they can’t just run up and throw a grenade inside, so these abilities could really close the gap between.

Probably not. Tanks have a bit more health than players, if you recall. Ground pound hardly kills outside a small range, so it’s essentially a grenade.
Add that to a cooldown, and the undoubtedly angry Scorpion that now knows exactly where you are… I wouldn’t be concerned.
Besides, we haven’t seen what they might to for vehicles to help combat increased focus on mobility.

Unless maps are made larger, vehicles like the mongoose and warthog could be obsolete for transport.
What I expect?
The same as always
What would I want?
16v16

Well, dash doesn’t quite equate to a Warthog’s gun and carrier capabilities. Same for mongoose. Vehicles will still be much faster.
You can’t give the flag carrier a piggy back ride,

Can’t agree enough.

I said this on my other post but incase you didn’t see it, scorpions are quick compared to spartans so that will be a easy space gap closer.
