Hey all,
I’m a BTB kid, I haven’t played H5 since launch up until about two weeks ago. I got back into it and finally am comfortable again. Why has BTB become such an objective heavy playlist? I do everything in my power to fight the objective, drop 30 kills, capture strongholds, return flags and arm bombs and it’s never enough. I feel like games are a solid 75% objective and 25% Slayer and it gets frustrating solo queuing and having a 10% btb win rate.
I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum. If I’m playing solo I would much rather play objective than carry a negative team through slayer

I wish I was that way. When I play Objective, the obkective is just another thing I have to do on top of worry about the enemy team push, their sniper, wraith, mantis, banshee etc. And Slayer it’s just me and my br and I could confidently get at least 20-25 kills.

Personally I don’t see the gripe in the br, I’ve heard of people saying it’s not good and that its’ recoil is “out there” but for btb I love it.

Same. Everyone’s here talking about it being game-breakingly bad, but it’s still my favorite weapon. The vertical recoil (which is 100% realistic, unlike the H2 BR), is completely predictable and easy to work with. I still get perfect kills every now and then.

It feels like garbage to me. That’s just my opinion though. I don’t even bother spawning it in warzone, amd in btb i pick up anything to replace the BR. It just feels bad to me. Not the recoil. I think its the RRR that bothers me. Or idk, i cant put my finger on it, I just know Its my least fave weapon in the sandbox. I get that you’re saying the recoil is realistic, but…I definitely don’t play halo for a realistic feeling.
I’d rather play objective in BTB. Slayer gets boring and it actually gives lesser skilled players more of a chance to win.

Saying the br is realistic is nonsense. If you want realistic then you have to remember your a spartan with super strength and a super power suit. No gun should recoil that much in a Spartans hands.

Unless your playing from Australia Slayer is the worst, just can’t go head to head in a gunfight because of our delay so we mostly lose, objective games are at least something we can do well in that’s why I wish they would remove Slayer in Team Arena…

It’s not bad in BTB because everyone else starts with it too instead of the magnum lol. It might be decent in BTB because maps are much larger and gunfights are at much longer distances than regular 4v4 maps. Give it a go in arena against other decent players in the 4v4 and I promise you that you will be out gunned in most scenarios. I pass it up anytime I see it on ground. It use to be an absolute monster/ mid range laser and a great counter to an OP magnum and was an extremely viable option in arena. Now everyting is mostly magnum fights unless you pick up an occasional carbine or maybe a DMR.
