I will continue to be patient since I can at least get into games now (although every third one freezes and and takes me back to the menu) but I still have not been able to even find players in Big Team Battle. Anyone else having this problem?
Yes. I think there are a few that are getting games in BTB by the reports I’m hearing but there are still quite a few of us out in the cold.
I had the same problem in the halo 2 classic playlist. I went through every channel of support to find a solution and didn’t get any help for a week. FInally someone responded to me on reddit and I was able to find a workaround to finally find players.
The solution for me was to make a new xbox live gamertag and use that. As long as you have a xbox live gold account and your xbox is set as your home xbox, any other xbox live gamertag that doesn’t have gold will be able to play online multiplayer. So using or making a new account will work.

Tried this just before and still no BTB games.
