Big Team Battle is still a shadow of what it was

Agreed entirely. BTB is unorganized chaos and it is frankly terrible. There is a reason I don’t even WANT to play it. Which sucks, because BTB is actually my favorite mode historically.

I do not at all love the 4v4 experience. I enjoy it. But I do not love it.

It’s because the maps are trash and the modes are trash! Where is 1 flag CTF. KOTH, 1 Bomb… stop copying COD game modes…

Dude I couldn’t agree more with this. Give us at least the option to play a BR classic btb playlist over what we have now.

Btb doesn’t at all feel like btb 2.0! It feels like 5 steps back with a higher player count. Why was it changed and not at all evolved. How do you go from warzone to btb with more players and nothing unique about it?

I can’t really comment on it, given how it was impossible for me to play much of it pre-fix. Still, my limited experience hasn’t been great. It’s a shame since this mode was a glimmer of light in the dark ages of Halo 4 and 5. In fact, it and SWAT were Halo 4’s only redeeming (multiplayer) qualities in my eyes.

h4 btb is awesome too. Same is true for the legendary slayer br.

AR starts encourages players to confront eachother. No need to get rid of it.

It encourages players to run out in the open and die more, in my experience. I consistently go double digit positive just sniping people, because they mostly can’t fight back.

If you really think every other halo btb encourages the opposite with BR starts then I have no idea what you were playing.

Every halo with ranged starts just allowed for defense off spawn and allowed you to push without getting destroyed.

AR in this game allows insane offense with very little defense of spawn. I get ppl like the AR but it shouldn’t be a starting weapon in btb

I just disagree. I don’t see the AR as a bad defense weapon. The game seems to play pretty well as it is for me.

Having the vehicles take a backseat in the theatre of 12v12 Spartan war as the default mode was a mistake. It’s cool that they can “drop in”, but having the spawns be randomized is just inconsistency with a new paint job.

If anything, the idea should’ve been saved for a “Big Team Super Fiesta” mode with ramped up heavy spawns, leaving normal BTB modes with consistent spawns and a learnable battlefield.

It also does not hurt to try different formulas. AR’s are in a better place than past games but they still lack in BTB.
