This got me thinking about global battles, originally conceived during Halo 2, scrapped, brought back for Halo 3, scrapped again, and instead went on to influence what we now call Warzone in Halo 5.

Maybe that means it was fake and 343 told him to take it down so there’s no fake news, OR it was somewhat correct and they didn’t want it leaked. I was personally hoping there would be a battle royale in infinite because there would be so many possibilities and it would be sick but if there is this BTB 2.0 hopefully it’s good

> Ok… that’s your opinion. There’s no correct answer. I think a battle royale in halo infinite with tons of Spartans and infinites new weapons on a huge map would be a nice change of pace. Maybe pelican drops that drop power weapons, and since infinite is on a broken ring, the map could start to collapse making people go closer together. There’s so many possibilities that can be brought to life, but none of that can happen if you stick to the same old stuff. We need a change of pace
It would take a huge amount of work and time, both 343 can’t take out of nowhere.
Also the old “We need chagne of pace”-talking is one of the biggest trash things I heard of.
Let me explain:
Halo 2 and 3 and Reach had mostly simple changes, small changes, changes that were still a good thing. Maybe they had an golden eye for things like that.
Looking how big the Playerbase in Halo 3 and Reach was is a simple “Yes, you are right” - people had fun in both games.
Then there were many changes with Halo 4 in a bad way and you are able to see on the populationcounter how few player actually played the game or better I say how less people that game had. Same with Halo 5 but with many new stuff and a totally bad way in marketing, campaign and MP [or why is there no playercounter anymore and no official statistics and why did I and friends were matched against the same people after about an year?].
I would say we had very much change in the past and the changes in that last 8 years were kinda bad for the franchise.
A step into BR is a bad step. You think that it’s not that hard to make a BR game or? Still it needs ton of work.
Fortnite, Warzone, PUBG, Apex, BF5 BR - five big names and I’m sure there are more on the way. So why not focussing on something that 343 could create? Something where they can say “Hey, that was our idea”.
A friend of mine is playing a lot of Warzone and he is bored how often weapons got nerfs and buffs.
Same would be there in an Halo Infinite BR mode - not that only the small group of e-sport fans [who already get way too much attention in my p
opinion cause Halo lives from the casual Halo fan who also likes weapons that are kinda useless because of astethic] would complain about the weapon balancing but it would go into another level of complaining about how strong, OP or weak weapon XYZ is.
