Big Multiplayer Issue

For the last couple of weeks I have been unable to play Halo 3 or really any playlist. In halo 3 within 10-15 seconds of starting a game I freeze and then I am reset like i just joined the game, this happens every 10-20 seconds throughout the entire game. In the other playlists I either start black screen for around 5 minutes before it spawns me in or I can play a game or two before I get black screened. Sometimes black screening happens in the middle of a game as well. Halo 3 is the only playlist that 100% will not work properly and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game multiple times and nothing is fixed. My internet is fine getting 20-25 mbps down with no outtage or droppage occurring (i run a speed test the second it happens and it shows 20-25 mbps). I have also deleted the local and cloud game data, hard reset xbox, power cycled xbox, created a new local save offline to overwrite the cloud save, deleted my profile from my xbox and redownloaded that, reset internet, opened ports on my router for an Open NAT, created a permanent IP assigned to just my xbox to ensure the ports were opened, virtually EVERY SINGLE troubleshooting tip on the internet regarding similar issue…I have tried. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I bought the game through the marketplace as well if that makes a difference. To any 343 moderators or whatever, xbox support resorted to sending me here so yeah.

It’s still happening…and has now spread to every single other playlist. So now I can’t play at all every game black screens me and spawns me in like i just got in and this happens every 4-8 seconds in the game and oh look 343i has not decided to reach out cause you know they care about their products…its such a joke man from a joke company.

It’s been almost two months I’ve had this issue, 343i REFUSES their help and apparently so does this whole “community”. what is the point of having a forums when no one, LITERALLY NO ONE responds with any type of info, not even a mean comment…i mean come on how big of a joke is 343i? They are afraid to have any ACTUAL contact info because they know, they absolutely know, people would be calling on the daily screaming at them because their product is absolute trash and apparently so is their “website” aka this garbage place people call forums. I’m beyond angry at this point, I paid $60 for a game that A) did not work for 3 full months after launch B) decides its a good idea to not include a halo 3 mlg playlist and C) hasn’t worked in the last 2 months and this self named “company” will not do a thing about it, it’s pathetic.

Just wondering, but are you in the Xbox preview program? Did this issue start before or after the last major content update? What about before or after the last Xbox update? Sadly I don’t know how to fix your issue, but maybe with some more information someone else can help.

Personally I have been having an issue with the game freezing mid-match with a sound that constantly repeats until it crashes to the dashboard. It only seemed to start happening within the last month or so, so I’m trying to figure out if it might be due to an unstable console update or a bug in the last content update.

How’s your connection? My experience with black screens and late spawns in halo are usually connection related.

My connection is around 25mbps and this issue only happens in MCC, I’ve seen multiple posts with the same issue but to no surprise, 343i has not responded with anyting. Literally, nothing. It’s so sad that a company cares this little about their product and their consumers.

Are you able to play Campaign, Custom Games, Forge, Spartan Ops, etc.? Basically, anything besides Matchmaking. Do you encounter the same issues in these modes as in Matchmaking? Let me know. :wink:

Yes I am able to play campaign, custom games, and pretty much everything except matchmaking. I have only ran into this issue when playing matchmaking.
