BIG FORGE PROBLEM!

So I’ve just spent 2 hours in a forge game working on my Map and stuff. Made great progress. Had lots of good ideas implemented into my map I’ve been working on.

Ive experienced lag on a whole new level. Rubber band lag to be exact. My light map isn’t high, my Fx isn’t high. Heck, I only have 400 items on the map.

I also pretty much much got kicked from my own game. MY OWN GAME. HOW DO YOH GET KICKED FROM YOUR OWN GAME!?

I pretty much lost 2 and sum hours of my life and all my progress. But I guess it’s my fault for not saving.

cant wait til DOOM.

Kicked from your own Forge Session…?

I’m not an expert on things like rubber band lag, etcetera, but getting kicked from your own Forge tells me something is seriously not right…

…this also explains why Forge needs to be offline.

Double Post.

Ouch, that… sucks.
I wish Forge was offline. Why is it online exactly?

Forge sessions take place on dedicated servers. Save often.

In Doom you can only make maps with the pre-created rooms and props.

Because that’s relevant to the topic at had. And that’s basically what forge was until Halo 5.

As for your situation OP, it does suck that you got disconnected and Forge always needs to be online but without it we wouldn’t have a lot of the features that make this forge so great. It sucks and it may not be the best trade-off but there’s not a whole lot we can do. Forge utilizes the cloud and to do that it needs to be online.

This is ridiculous. Forge should be offline. Why would they take that feature away? For some odd reason 343 likes taking away features that made Halo Halo for no good reason.

I know the pain.I noticed a problem when I use groups my forge always crashes.I have to build things piece by piece now.

Uh oh. It’s good to save often though. Try to hit that back button often.

Isn’t this a rule in basically every game

Try reading the post directly above yours that answers your question… Tom French has stated on Twitter that they are looking into a “local” forge mode.

needs to be offline available

I know I know it’s my fault for not saving I suppose but I had no idea forge was online only. Like it’d be great if 343 told me. And I shouldn’t have to traverse the web to know about it?

Ugh i guess I’ll have to recreate it. But it’s fine I suppose the main map focus/idea has already been built. Pretty cool idea tbh

My Forge problem, if I spawn in a switch and move it somewhere, it won’t stay there. I need someone to move it where I want it. Because apparently my connection doesn’t allow me to move switches. (Even if I reset my internet, and my Xbox)

If I add a script, it will move right back to where I spawned it. Even will all these “fixes” it still does it.

There’s another specific glitch with switches that has been around since forge launched. Basically you need to lock them when in place.
