Beyond SR130 Specializations

Please ONLY COMMENT WITH IDEAS FOR SPECIALIZATIONS. Nobody wants to look through pages of “343 can’t add duel wielding” or “Swimming is a stupid idea” anything else you may have to say. This thread is for FUN.

We all know that the game caps off at SR130 and there is no confirmed or even hinted at DLC to raise that cap and add new specializations… but if there was, I would love to hear your ideas.

These were made in haste and not seriously crafted from a development standpoint, so let’s see less trolling my ideas and more coming up with your own.

Specialization Name: Ambidextrous
Armor Ability: Quick turn around (180)
Armor Mod 1: Duel Wield
Armor Mod 2: Less delay to throw grenade.

Specialization Name: Athlete
Armor Ability: Higher Jump
Armor Mod 1: Swimmer (Floats on and can shoot from water)
Armor Mod 2: Further (and faster) thrown grenades

Specialization Name: Shocker
Armor Ability: Static burst (Blast blows back nearby enemies and distorts their visors)
Armor Mod 1: Static charge jumps towards nearby enemies.
Armor Mod 2: Larger EMP blasts effect range

Also I would like to see one time use AAs for Custom games and bring back the equipment from H3: Bubble Shield, Trip Mine, Flare, Deployable cover, Grav Lift, Radar Jammer, Power Drain, Regenerator(Kind of already an AA). In addition I think it would be great for custom games to bring back the forgotten AA from Reach: Drop Shield, Armor Lock, Evade.

NOTE: There were 2 unused armor abilities in the code for Halo 4. A teleport(Like the Promethians use) that supposedly eventually became the thruster pack, and Hacker which cancels AA of the enemies around you.

Those armor ability ideas would break the game design and it would take hard re-coding to implement , not just a simple title update.

And the water one you suggested doesn’t edn make sense.

Teleportation and possession.

Also a hijacker armor mod would be sweet. Let us jack from Halo 2 distances.

What about a MEDIC SPEC?

Single weapon, side arm.

Over shield as norm

The ability to recharge team’s shields and ammo (except crazy weapons)

No dual wield unless Boltshot gets patched. None of those really work out at all really.

I think they are fine OP

I’ve always imagined that at one point, when you got to 130, you’d unlock the Master Chief specialisation. Unlocks Chief’s armour from Campaign and added a few abilities and skins.

I wouldn’t want more armor mods since those break the game along with other things, but I’d love to see new weapon skins.

(Assuming an update would bring us to SR200)

Light Rifle-blue variant that should have been in Forerunner
Storm Rifle-red variant with brown shading
DMR-classic camouflage
Carbine-blue variant with light blue shading
Magnum-black chrome like in ODST
Boltshot-orange variant with black shading
Plasma Pistol-yellow variant with blue shading

Actually, I’d be happy with any new skin since they don’t affect gameplay and you don’t have to use them if you are a purist.

So far I have the Arctic BR, the Static Magnum, and the Reign Carbine. They all look fantastic.

Also a rate of fire increase would be cool, though it couldn’t be too much. Getting 5 shot is already pretty quick. I know this idea is straight from call of duty but dropping a grenade when you get killed could be a good idea, although it would have to have some rules like not when next to teammates or when instantly killed(Sniped, rockets, etc.)

How about a specialization for mobility-centric operators, with a support upgrade (tier 2 perk) called ‘Quick Draw’ that completely eliminates the delay between sprinting and shooting. Thus, if you pull the trigger while sprinting you will instantly stop sprinting and fire, but you’ll be making that shot with no reticle as you were sprinting. This would work great for aggressive players.

EDIT: Swimming is a stupid idea.
