So I fired up my favorite RTS this morning to find that something - some patch or glitch or something - occurred overnight. I know because nearly every record of what I have done in this game is screwed up - again. I’m locked out of the last two cinematics - even though I’ve finished the campaign multiple times. It shows I have no campaign logs from Operation Spearbreaker - I had found 3 out of 4. Many of the Phoenix Logs in general are locked - they were all unlocked as of yesterday. My time played currently shows 27 hours - I’ve played well over 150 hours. It show my favorite leader and most successful leader as two that I virtually never play. And when I tried to ignore all of this and just play a game of vs. AI on the PC (because it’s the only game mode where there’s any hope of finding other players on PC) - my two PUG teammates disconnected and I lost one-on-three to the AI.
As the title states - this is beyond incompetent. For two veteran companies like CA and 343, it’s embarrassing. Over six months since release, and this is the best they can do? I love this game when it works. Right now, it doesn’t work. I have pretty much lost all hope that it ever will. Pathetic.

Happens all the time… Happened to me several times.
I am just happy to have done the 100% on the achievements.
But still so annoying. If you wanna know what your real playtime is, you can look it up on the achievements of the game.
I have just read that you play on PC? Its sad, because the MP on PC is more than dead.
I hope that Microsoft wont screw it up with Age of Empires 4 when its being released only on Win10 Store…
But if I remember it right, back then in November 2002 Half Life 2 was released, you needed an Internet Connection to play and activate the game and Half Life 2 established Steam back then.

Its 100%.
I mean I can understand that. This brand is so powerful, they hope to make it a System seller.
Like Halo is for XBOX, perhaps Age of Empires is THE brand to establish the Win 10 Store…

I meant don’t let it kill the game, but I get you.
It’s really a toss up imo. Steam is so good and had such a hold on the PC market, but Age of Empires is a very popular game so it could work.

Mostly ranting - I’d love to help fix it, but as I’ve stated, I’ve pretty much lost hope that it will ever be fixed. The disconnect problem is widely known and allegedly being worked on (funny, since it got ten times worse with the Yap Yap patch.) And if the devs have any interest in fixing the stats and unlocks and such, I freely offer up my account to be messed with in whatever way they deem necessary to figure out why such simple things can’t be kept straight.
And to Tyrell - I play on both Xbox and PC - I know the MP community on PC is small, but I can usually find vs. AI games. So that’s what I play on PC - campaign and vs. AI. Anything else, like Blitz or Ranked with friends (which we haven’t done in several seasons) I play on Xbox. Stats & unlocks are screwed up on both.

I’d visit the Support Forums, I think people have had similar problems to yours and had it resolved on an individual basis.

Thanks, Breezy. I’ve been on the support forums. Not today - but the last time things changed on my stats & unlocks. I got no feedback or contact from anyone who might be able to do something about it. I just keep hoping the next patch is going to fix it. The last few patches have made it worse. And I don’t even think there was a patch over night. I’ve played since the “network stability” patch - heck, I played a crap-ton yesterday. This morning, my career/stats page didn’t resemble what it was yesterday - as well as the other things I mentioned (cinematics, logs, etc.) I guess I’ll try the support forum again. I expect no feedback whatsoever…
