Between Halo 2 and Halo 3

What happened to master chief between Halo 2 and Halo 3? I’m confused.

he was on the covenant dreadnought (the triangle flying thingy) and it was making it’s way to whateverplanticant’tfrigginremember and he manages to escape and jump out in orbit, crash landing and then being found by johnson

So he litterally jumped out of it in the beginning of halo 3? thats what it looked like but it almost seamed like they jumped a huge part of the story. i guess not.

There is a comic about it. It’s called Halo Uprising.

don’y hold me to it but i read somewhere that he did a bit of fighting inside the ship just to escape, before this i allways assumed he sat somewhere open to space and they never knew he was there tbh

After the Forerunner ship took off from High Charity with Chief on it, it went through slipspace to get to Earth. When the ship came into the astmosphere, Chief evacuated the ship via some kind of pod, and landed in the jungle, where Johnson and the Marines found him.

Actually, on the journey he tried assassinating Truth, was captured and held captive by Brutes, escaped, and then jumped off the ship, using only a large chunk of metal to counteract re-entry into the atmosphere. You were essentially right, I just wanted to clear up some details.

Which mostly doesn’t even deal with Chief. And sucks. He mostly just killed people in there… which was obvious.
