I think the reason why Halo 5 ranking system is broken, is because of these smurfs.
Why can’t we have the old system back like for example the 360 ?
You could only make 3 additional accounts per 360.
I think that would minimize the smurfing problem a lot !
So basically, 4 accounts per Xbox One?
Doubt that’ll fix the issue and worsen the situation. I can just go and delete accounts that are being unused and create a smurf. I’m all set thanks to the share gold feature the Xbox One has if you set your console to “home console” and have a gold membership with your main account.
Also, there’s other factors contributing to the issue such as randoms matching against fully organised fireteams, population, etc…
If you can, head to the Matchmaking Feedback & Discussion area and take a look at what the MM teams are doing to deal the issue.
(Side note: I doubt the Xbox 360 limits 4 accounts per console)

Now that would work if:
- It was 3 accounts on the history of the console. That means 3 accounts for all time, no deletion. Any account used counts on the history. - The XB360 system didn’t let me make 9 accounts. (I did)The only way to prevent smurfing full stop is probably 3 and maybe even 2 accounts only on the console’s history. Even then though, it’s still harsh on those with large families.
