Better formal announcements

This is a general feel I’ve been getting and it only becomes compounded whenever I dare to read things online.

I acknowledge that time frames have shifted, launch is delayed with no indication when that will be.
Based on the current release of information, it’s general quality, quantity or rather lack of thereof sort of indicates this game might not be seen until the very end of next year.

But when we do get information, it’s in regards to something like the coating system. Now the problem lies with that immediately everyone has doubts because it sounds like a backwards step. Instead of having varying options of colours and customisation by the choice of the player, it sounds more like you pick one “coating” colour or pattern.

In the end, we don’t know if it’s a better or worse system and that’s the problem. There is no detailed video run through of how customisation would look, no detailed press release with 20+ screenshots, it’s an afterthought post on waypoint. It’s just concerning, over the past few months we’ve had very little to go by.

Id love to be proven wrong, I’d love to be surprised by this game and I’m sure in some parts I will be. But something substantial would be nice, anything. I just find it hard to believe that we are this close to the initial launch date and seemingly nothing to indicate it was remotely close to ready.

We need thorough and proper updates at some point even just features in the game. Anyway I’m sure many will disagree and hate me for this post but yeah, whatever I guess.

We definitely need some better communication, people are getting so desperate for it that they’re trying to scout the internet for toy leaks just to get a solid bit of info about the game. Let us know how things are going with Infinite’s development 343, ask us what we think about additions and features in the game, and when making an announcement make it clear what you’re trying to tell us to avoid any possible confusion. That will not only allow us to find out more about the game and get us excited about it, but you would also develop a good reputation for communicating consistently and clearly with your community.

I think it’s not a lack of communication but rather how communication happens.
343 are always open, doing BTSs, MCC Blogs, community flighting, and interacting on Twitter. Explaining what armour coatings are in a blog despite the fact that there would obviously be harsh criticism is an open thing to do.
The lack of consideration for fan reception is the issue here. Confusingly announcing it through a Monster promotion and then going down the ‘Pride and Accomplishment’ path just comes off as a money making scheme. If there is any passion in the game, it’s not apparent here.

I agree and that’s definitely part of it. That’s why I sort of mentioned it earlier. They need to deliver something substantial in a meaningful way. A preference would be a video run down of customisation in game or something rather than “here’s a picture, discuss” haha
