Don’t know about you, but I didn’t like most of the custom or Forge World maps in Reach. They all looked the same. For Forge World maps, all of them are just made from pieces of Forerunner materials, so every map is just gray, gray, gray. It just gets annoying to look at. As for custom maps, some are just plain dumb, like Spooky Base and Count dHouen. All they did was add random pieces of environment in the middle of the map and changed the coloring. Who’s idea was it to put these in matchmaking? It’s like something a couple of kids would make for a custom game. I hope the Forge in Halo 4 will have other building materials other than Forerunner pieces so the maps don’t all look alike.
There will be more variety in Halo 4’s Forge. There will be more palettes available for the items you can place, and a larger budget to build maps with.
Well that remains yet to be seen.
Everyone also assumes the map we saw in the Forge video is small. I’m pretty sure we haven’t seen the whole thing yet because we also saw another huge part of the map with that Achievement horse video. So I think there’s more. And there are still 2 other forge maps yet to be shown which have their own forge pallete.
I’m confident that forge will be good.

True BUT we don’t how much the stuff costs. Maybe from 10$ to 100$. This is possible. But I hope I’m wrong.
The Forge in the current Reach infection playlist is STUPID.
There should be maps made for infection with levels, starting at the bottom, routes to reach the top, taking time to reach the top, and places where you need over 1 player to watch and defend.
