Betraying a Teammate should lead to...

death for that person who betrayed. I realize that betraying is very common in some gametypes by accident, but when you get spawn betrayed the whole game during Grifball, the guy doing the betraying should be punished. Even thought the game is already too much like CoD, I think it should be like a hardcore game where if you kill a teammate, you die. This would stop from the annoying people. And no offense, but most of the people that do this are level 130’s who dont need to worry about getting xp or commendations.

Your second betrayal should. Most people who go on betrayal sprees do more than one person, and I don’t really want to be randomly killed for the off chance my rocket launcher hits my team mate when he went to assassinate the enemy I fired it at.

Seeing as how it is Grifball, this is a completely legit strategy.

Not in grifball betrayal is frequent and would cause more problems than it would solve

^I agree with this. Over two betrayals should kill the offender.

Grifball betrayals are ridiculous.
But maybe that’s what makes it interesting…?
Like penalties in football?

There shouldn’t be any friendly-fire (except for certain game-types).

No this is not a very good idea, if you accidentally betray a team-mate your team is already one team-mate down and should not be punished further.

This punishment would be intended for the people that constantly betray. For example, if someone were to betray maybe 5 times or more than they should have like a 30 second waiting period between their next spawn as a punishment.

That is the current system, wait did they remove that in Halo 4?

Why is friendly fire even enabled in Grifball? I admit I don’t play it at all in H4, and I played only a handful of GB games in Reach. But unless I’m mistaken, FF was turned off in Reach’s GB.

Hmm, I’m not sure about that. I agree a bit, and disagree.

I am thinking especially of MW3’s Hardcore modes, where the damage you cause to teammates is reflected back on you. That is a bad idea, since it happens too easy in Halo that someone is walking into your grenade, shots etc. especially with vehicles.

There should be a new, smart system which can register accidental betrayals and teamkills on purpose. This is kinda hard to create, but possible in my opinion.

Regarding to Grifball… yeah, I know that. There are sometimes people who think it’s funny to betray the hell outta their own team. Or people, who betray their own Ball carrier, because the carrier can’t get through the enemies.

Grifball is a very special case since accidental betrayals can happen there extremely easy.

The easiest way to get around this is to play Grifball with three friends.

I’m half on this as well.

Reason: To easy to betray in grifball in begin with, hammer is very hard for beginners & even advance users are betrayers to. I got swung at because everyone likes to pile up right at the ball. To me, I think it needs more editing done to the weapon rather then the betrayals. Make the gravity hammer like it was in the past where you swung & people flew but it didn’t kill you as much as it would now.

Simple IMO.

Make gravity hammer like reach’s & beef up the sword, and beef up the players health by 10% Betrayers get 10 betrayals then people can have option to boot them. Because I only ever got 5, never on purpose, quite seriously, I’m a noob with the darn thing & every time I swing, I end up dying by red guys hammer & my swing betrays my opponent when it was meant for red dude. So, that’s why I said 10. Not 2. Then player has option to boot the player, some people like that, like me as I can know wheter or not he is doing it on purpose or if he/she just seriously stinks that bad. Not every player on halo is perfect you know.

I understand, but in grifball, u get those accidental ones. The game can’t tell weather it’s on purpose or not. But in game modes like slayer and CTF, It needs to be enforced.

Why, as long as they don’t constantly kill you repeatedly in those games. In any other gamemode beside grifball i’ll only ever get killed by an ally once, pretty much poor driving skills on there part. U got someone keep killing you all the time, open your nat to a Big Green Open, most people don’t betray on there.

It don’t matter to me, but why is there a FF option anyway. I can understand in CG but in MM… & booting is on, you can boot their butts out of the game. So, there is no room to complaining on anyone but grifball.
