Betrayel Penalty with Instant Respawn?

With instant respawn I wonder what the penalty for betrayel is. I hope it doesn’t go straight to the option to boot the the player. Because often betrayels are accidents, or atleast they are when ever I betray someone. Maybe they will make it so you can’t instant respawn and have to wait for a timer to run out before you can respawn, (this would be the death after the said bertay(s) like the normal spawn penalty that are in other games like that) I know this isn’t a very important thread, but I’m just trying to get a new topic going. Something that’s not negative and bashing something, and something that’s not about a ranking system

So here’s my question to you guy’s: What do you think they will do about the betrayel penalty. Or what would you like to see them do as a betrayel penalty?

In-game wise, I’d say 5 seconds per betrayal on your death is a start. If its an accident and you want to swap something in your loadout, it wouldn’t wouldn’t really hurt you. However, this can punish those who is being a jerk, or somehow set off a catastrophic chain-reaction that kills your entire team on accident, will need to wait.

Though I don’t think that will be the perfect solution, but I think the traditional punishment should stick around. I’ll hold my proposal on the Spartan Point progressive rank system as requested.

I like it the way its always been. It just works realy well.

If you see a large a chain of betraying, ban for a day. It continues, make it a week. Still happens, make it a month. Then increase it by a month each time if they are still being ignorant. I honestly think they are being to lenient with the system. They need to make it so that they will never do it again. Hell, if it goes one for more then a year, reset or lock their Halo profile permanently. They will only play other games when banned then get right back to it.

I agree with this 5 second betrayal timer, it would give your team mate time to think about what he has done but it won’t make your team lose a member. Oh, now I’ve found a hole in my own words, what about the join in game thingy…

Yeah I forgot entirely about the in-game join. Do you think you would have to invite people for them to join? Or do you think it will throw you into games occasionally when you start matchmaking? Do you think they will make you set it as a Preference? I.E. (X) Allow matchmaking to put you in-progress games.

or

(X) Do NOT allow matchmaking to put you in-progress games.
