Betrayel for sniper...

Is this normal? It happened to me two games in a row and the first guy was something else.

Usually I stay away from snipers, but here I am playing the new BTB map and I spot a discarded Beam rifle. I pick it up, it has two shots in, I get one guy…then my team mate murders me. So I ignore that, it’s a close game, you get the occasional one every match. Then I find another discarded Beam Rifle. Another two shots. I empty both and get a kill but the same guy comes up and murders me. The last straw was when he tried to kill me when I spawned at base near sniper spawn and he starts shooting at me.

Very next game. I kill an enemy sniper and steal his gun on Valhalla. So I scoot over to the rocky knoll and get a kill. When a guy in stealth plasma grenades me in the face like it doesn’t tell you it’s a betrayel.

I just don’t get it. Am I psychic. Am I supposed to know that you call sniper and are “da best”? This isn’t even the spawn we re talking about, this is weapons dropped by players.

If I want your weapon I might kill you for it.

way I see it, If someone else takes the weapon I want, then I just play until i get the weapon. Just play the game

I do play the game. But the se guys murdered me for picking up “their gun” and would rather risk it being taken by the enemy.

Well it kind of murders the spirit f the game and teamwork. Plus it actively works against you with people being killed, wasting time, getting kicked, not focusing and in a slayer match it obviously reduces your score. So it’s pretty selfish to steal somebody else’s weapon. Both those were objective games so the guy was probably less inclined to avoid team kills.

Happens unfortunately. Most of the time I let it slide but if they do it again I’ll make the game hell for them even in btb I’d do the same and if I got a banshee the game would literally be hell for the dude as I’m then just looking for his name all game.

Obviously, it shouldn’t be.

You will occasionally encounter random teammates who self-centered and immature, so they really don’t care what strangers think about them while they intentionally betray someone to steal a power weapon. There really isn’t anything that you can do to stop that type of behavior. After the match has ended, report them for Unsporting Behavior within Xbox Live and move along. Hopefully you will get better teammates next time around.

ah I see. I don’t revenge kill cuz i prefer no boot

I don’t know why people betray. It’s just a sign that you can’t teamplay and you’re desperate for some kills.

Some people are ignorant and will kill a team mate for that weapon. I’m willing to bet the same people complaining about H5 sucking are the same ones that do that kind of crap. I let it slide. Doesn’t mean I don’t get frustrated by it. Not like banning them is going to teach them a lesson. They are just cry babies and can’t play well with others. These are the people that are ruining Halo. Worthless.

I had a similar experience back in halo 4, it was an infection game and this one dude kept hitting me, shoving me, shooting at me, anything he could do to get me killed so he could keep the hiding spot to himself, so I team killed him the rest of the match, then followed him around all day in every lobby he joined, slayer, btb, ctf, you name it and team killed him again and again, and If I was on the opposite team I would single him out, needless to say I made his entire day a living hell.

Damn, remind me to never piss you off

Lol! A similar thing happened in a GTA game I was in the other day. This guy was killing everyone, and must have messed with the wrong person. A guy he killed got a hydra, and spent literally the next hour spawn killing him over and over again every few seconds. It was hilarious seeing his name pop up on the kill feed every time he spawned, and the hydra pilot was one of the best I’ve seen, evading homing missiles and landing every shot. He must have killed the guy hundreds of times that day.

I’ve got a bit of a related story here. One time, I was in WZ FF, and we’d gotten to the deacon boss on apex 7. I’d just respawned, and I found a partly-depleted splaser on the ground and started firing it at the boss. Then, this random keeps jumping in front of me trying to make me kill myself instead of focusing on the big damn grunt mech spamming needles and such in our general direction. I do a ton of damage to the boss, and we’re able to stomp him out, etc.

I’d later checked the theater vid to find the guy was the one who originally spawned the laser. Now, I know what some are thinking; “U DIK! Y’D U STEEL HIS LAZOR?” My answer to that is simply, I didn’t want his req going to waste. In WZFF games, the game aggressively despawns items that have been sitting for more than a few seconds, which means that had I not picked it up, it would’ve been gone before he could even get back to it. And if you ask “what if HE did that to YOU?” Tbh I’d give him my full blessing because really, I’d rather my teammate use my req than have it never get used at all. Just a thought.

Either I would kill you first, give you the weapon if it was discarded after you died, or boot you.

I remember in Halo 4 when I was playing split-screen with my brother and I had a power weapon that we were sharing, and then my teammate came and killed both of us. Then we gangbanged him after we respawned and he got booted.

There is people without ethics around the world, now,you can confirm that fact in the game. Egoistic miserables…

Welcome to Halo. Hope you enjoy your stay.

I don’t know why, but players who betray for weapons are terrible at playing the game in general. Betraying someone because they have the sniper and then proceeding to use an entire clip to kill an enemy with a bodyshot shouldn’t even get a sniper. Or sticking someone because they had an SMG (happened to me). But hopefully something like this doesn’t happen to you.
