So I’m not one to usually complain about team killing since it’s bound to happen in this game, most of the time by accident, but I just got betrayed in CTF purposely and it’s really irritating me. After I picked up the enemy flag I managed to sneak across half the map with a teammate protecting me. Then as soon as I get close to planting the flag, this A-hole charges into me just to steal the flag and the points (which thankfully he didn’t manage to but still)
Has this happened to anyone else? I know team killing happens quite a lot but it really annoys me when it’s someone trying to steal the credit rather than an accidental thing.
There will always be some sour lemons wandering out there. Your best hope is maintaining a healthy distance from those players and from the objectives. Sure you may not be helping much outside of kills, but it’ll certainly piss them off and (hopefully) force themselves to start pulling their own weight.
Wow, that’s is really selfish! I’m not big fan of people who still the flag you were carrying. Didn’t think people would kill over it though! It’s a team work gamemode!
Eeeek man I hate to say it but it is COMMON. I’ve gotten teamkilled for the flag many a time, and seen it happen to teammates even more often. Best advice I can give you is return the favor and T-Bag the everliving -Yoink- out of them.
Oh yeah. I am always holding my breath when I am getting ready to cap. Especially if there is a random right next to me. As long as your team gets the cap no biggie.

I usually am assisting the carrier and when I see someone do this I try to get the flag away from them to not let them get the points for their betrayal and lack of attempting to grab the flag from the enemy base.

Last night I got two flag caps and just as I was about to cap the third I was betrayed by 3 of my teammates who didn’t want to cap the flag. They wanted to farm kills for the next 8 minutes so they picked up the flag and walked it all the way back to the enemy base LOL
Nothing you can do man, it sucks. So many times I’ll get betrayed or damaged severely by a teammate as I’m waiting to cap it, then an enemy comes along and kills us both because we’re too busy trying to damage each other, me trying to get him to stop and him trying to kill me to get the cap himself. Then we lose the game because the enemy returns the flag. Nothing is more frustrating than that tbh.

Dang, I never had something as bad as that (although since I play WZ a hell of a lot more than BTB I have to deal with farmers every game too). Do people really value kills so much that they do -Yoink- like that? That’s just sad.
It really does suck, especially the whole teamkill assist thing or when they “accidentally” betray you 3 times in a row. I guess there is no real solution other than to deal with it, but I hope 343 at least gets rid of team killing in Halo 6.
