I think 343 needs to crack down more on betraying. Especially in breakout because it’s single elimination and it REALLY screws up the game.
Like if someone betrays you in the first 20 seconds of a match to steal your BR or if their hit markers are at least 50% friendly fire before betraying you then I think it should be an Instant two hour ban and a tier derank. I think this idea still protects players who accidentally betray because you’ll never be in a position to accidentally betray someone in the heat of battle in 20 seconds, and there’s no way you can get 50% of your hit makers from friendly fire during a game.
Of course 343 doesn’t have to the exact method and punishment I suggested but something like it.
sometimes people accidentally shoot their teammates in the first 20 seconds of breakout, I’ve seen it happen. that would not protect players who accidentally betray. it would just cause that person to wait 20 seconds until betraying you for your br.
i agree betrayals suck but a 2 hour ban is way too excessive. your idea won’t work

Those probably weren’t accidents. Most of the time you don’t even see the enemy team till the first 10 or 15 seconds.
yeah if they wait 20 seconds that’s where the 50% hit marker comes in. If they shoot you more then they shoot the enemy team, then that’s on purpose.
