Betrayals :(

There is nothing worse than a team mate who betrays you when you are 2 kills from your first unfrig. these nooby kids piss me off and not make me want to play halo ever again. If there is friendly fire in halo 4 i might put it in the blender. STOP BETRAYALS 343 PLZ

It sucks when people do that, but removing friendly fire would make the game pointless and boring.

Imagine a game, where you have 2 of your team mates fighting 3 enemies. Now instead of finding a tactical advantage, to get kills instead of betrayals, you just toss a couple of grenades, or shoot a rocket. No chance of you killing your team mates, means you just shoot randomly and without care. Friendly fire “usually” means you have to be accurate and tactical when assisting your team.

I feel honestly that the first 6 months of Halo 4 will be “***hole” free. Since it’ll be new and everyone will be interested in playing. And depending on the ranking and competitiveness will dictate how long that will last.

friendly fire is part of the game. makes you think about your actions and watch your aim. sure accidental betrayals like a wayward grenade are ok but killing you to get he sniper and such i would just boot them. if they had to betray you to get a power weapon then they arent worth it being on the team anyway. so boot every weapon stealing betrayal.

i was at 38-0 in the banshee on boneyard with 7 kills left to win, team mate purposely betrays me w/ scorpion because i was taking all the kills, i was mad and stuck him twice and got booted with 2 kills left. Friendly fire doesn’t make it take more skill. i get rocket and frag betrayed once a game. my k/d is not accurate because 717 of my deaths are from betrayal.

That’s not a problem with Friendly Fire. That’s a problem with Betrayal Booting kicking in at the worst and stupidest times.

> Friendly fire doesn’t make it take more skill. i get rocket and frag betrayed once a game.

The fact that you get betrayed with explosives regularly doesn’t disprove the claim that Friendly Fire demands more skill. On the contrary, it indicates that the people betraying you lack skill.

In my opinion, Betrayals does nothing for the game but make me mad, and it should not effect my k/d just because dumb n00bs betray me all the time.

They probably should isolate betrayals from K/D in Halo 4, yeah.

I’d say it is needed, as without I wouldn’t be as disciplined with my shots and would happily fire away blindly.

It forces you to be accurate when a teammate runs in the way, so over the long term it improves your accuracy overall as you’re always timing your shots and not just going to fire indiscriminately.

On a slighty related note, why betrayals in certain gamemodes were removed while others stay(ed) makes no sense. Should have all or nothing.

Friendly fire is needed so nobody just fires willy-nilly, you have to be accurate if you don’t want to betray somebody on accident and maybe get booted.

I once betrayed an ally in the arena on accident because a mistrajectory, bounced off the wall, killed an ally, and I wish I had a headset to apologize.

I hate getting betrayed, but it annoys the crap out of me when people think it’s funny in Living Dead to just stand in front of me and block me from getting kills. Or constantly punching me, and even if I run off, they follow. >_>

You deserved it.

How is it his fault?

How exatly did i deserve it? i did nothing wrong.

It was in no way his fault and he did not deserve it. But nothing can be done about it now. Just submit a bad player review and pray you dont ever run into them again. Another helpful thing to do is search with friends. So you dont have to deal with annoying noobs.

betrayals will always exist in halo. adaptation is always good. I personally always expect to lose a good streak from a betrayal rather than enemy. cause I wouldn’t see it coming

betrayal my -Yoink-. I get em traitors all the time, even if that means stealing kills, what i mean is yoink medal, but thats an exception.

He’s either just trolling or he doesn’t like banshee whores

I agree 100% you should not be able to kill your own team mates. I hate playing with randoms because as soon as you get the sniper or any other power weapon there is usually someone trying to kill me to get it. Lame I really hope that there is no friendly fire on Halo 4.

It’s a pain in the -Yoink-, and it seems like it’s happening more and more each day. Accidents happen I understand, but what irritates me the most is when some noob catches a glimpse of you getting a weapon or vehicle that he wants and proceeds to keep your shields down and waits until you get killed. I don’t know what could be done to prevent this behavior but it’s seriously annoying. It seems to happen to me in spurts; I don’t get it one day but the next day is filled with these idiots. I guess you just have to deal with it, but damn if it doesn’t want to make you sling your controller!

If you don’t want to get betrayed often, pay more attention to your surroundings…where teammates are, what weapons they are using, and how terrible they’re likely to be with them. If I have rockets and there’s a teammate and wall/ground nearby…there’s at least an 80% chance that we’re both going to die, regardless of where enemies may be and what they’re doing.
