Who enjoys marching the flag all the way back to your base and right before you hang it, getting betrayed by your “teammate”, so they get the hang? Or getting betrayed for your power weapon? Not this guy.
It would seem that at this point the community is no longer mature enough to have friendly fire be a factor in Arena play.
There is literally not a thing that pisses me off more while playing any game than team killing. Especially, in an objective like CTF where I already have to forget about K/D to run after the flag and get the capture. Usually CTF matches end up being extremely competitive and the last thing you should have to worry about is your team killing you over the point. CTF is my favorite variant in BTB. I spent hundreds of hours playing CTF in H4 to get Vanguard armor and I can’t remember this ever happening.
343i please, at least, get rid of friendly fire in BTB. I understand it makes players be more conscious of themselves but really its becoming a problem. The community isn’t capable of using the honor system. This is why we can’t have nice things, folks.
Anyone else experiencing this kind of BS?
A couple days ago in BTB I killed someone that had an incineration cannon and a sniper rifle. As I was picking them up, I noticed my teammate about ten feet away running towards me and then spartan charging me. I shot him once with the sniper, but he killed me before I could shoot him again. He picked up my weapons and then proceeded to get killed about 20 seconds later. He went negative pretty bad that game, but I don’t remember by how much. So annoying especially when they don’t even do anything with the weapons.
I’d just like to apologize for accidentally betraying people with the Rocket Launcher.
That is all.
Blame the weapon indicators, all they do is promote betraying. When scrub sees the weapon indicators they run right to it and wait. If you end up grabing the weapon before they do then prepare to be betrayed

Just report them and move on. Unfortunately there is a segment of the population that either enjoys betraying or is willing to do it to improve their service record.

There’s a multitude of games out there that have friendly fire off. If you don’t like getting betrayed then I suggest going and playing one of those games. The only time betraying was turned off was when Halo 4 came out. Kids would repeatedly grenade or rocket teammates just to get one kill and wouldn’t get punish for doing it. Now does that seem fair to the other team? NO! This feature was immediately done away with after all the complaints. Halo should never have friendly fire turned off. The last thing Halo needs is another mechanic that takes skill away from the game and teaches kids not to be careful and to fire at everything that moves.
I don’t think friendly fire should go away. I’m no fan of getting betrayed by some -Yoink- hat that can’t control himself but friendly fire is a solid element of the game. There is a decent problem, in my experience, in regards to betrayal in Breakout also. The moment you launch in some -Yoink!- puts his shotgun to your dome and pulls the trigger. It’s made that much more annoying because now your round is over will until the next one starts. Some people are just bored I guess.
I only Betray the clueless ones…
I mean by they look at a ground, punch walls, shoot walls or floors or just anything mostly clueless ones do.
