Betrayal system is way too harsh.

It’s really quite easy to TK on halo and the amount of times i’ve been kicked because of a dodgy grenade throw or someone walking in front of me while firing heavy ordnance is crazy. I just feel it should be bumped up to about 3 or 4 TK’s before the boot option is given.

be more carefull, if you have a teammate near by don’t use a heavy weapon like rockets and such. just general common sense.

General common sense is not running in front of the guy with a massive gun who is no doubt scoped in, therefore having no situational awareness.

but there’s no friendly fire… not that that’s a good thing by any stretch of the imagination, but I fail to see how this is related to halo 4.

betrayals are part of halo get used to it

scoped in… with a sniper rifle you mean. that’s a bit different.

the obvious answer is: you’re just bad

ok, turning off -Yoink- fanboy cancer mode.

in all seriousness the system is broken, and it just adds more reason to not play the game.

So you rather have trolls killing you 4 times instead of once?

I’d rather be booted once for an accidental betrayal.

I have TK more then a few people and i have never been booted. Only once have i ever got the option to boot another person and that was in infection.

i prefer spartan ops and this is still an option

i’m being the next rofl harris, my gunner and i just owning everything in the guass hog and BOOM our team mates blows us up with the -Yoinking!- wraith…

other times include driving into us with ghosts or the other hogs which does unnecessary damage

oh yeah and the guys who do nothing but run you over with their vehicle the whole match…

I wouldn’t care too much for being booted for a betrayal but it just because of the amount of time it takes to find a game and then get in it for a grand total of 10 minutes then go back in match making for 5 minutes.

> but there’s no friendly fire… not that that’s a good thing by any stretch of the imagination, but I fail to see how this is related to halo 4.

Uh…what? Yes there is.

And ‘common sense’ doesn’t come into it when you turn around in a Ghost, someone on your team is running towards you, and bumping into him at about 5 mph instakills him. YOINK! you, physics, that’s YOINK! and you know it…

Uh…if that was me, then I honestly didn’t mean to XD

Seriously, I fired from across the map at one of the Generators in mission 1. I missed the shot, but figured it was ok. However, the Gauss hog had driven past me by this point, and was driving towards the other side. And…yeah, guess what happened?
They drove right onto the point where my mortar shot was going. Boom.

Is that a million to one chance or what? >_<

How does the betrayal system work?

I got booted for Team killing in flood, is it like Reach?

how about you don’t shoot when a teammate walks in front or don’t scope in with a teammate that close by? …

thats sort of hard when you’re trading shots with the likes of another sniper.

I think I’ve only done 3 betrayals so far, the first one I had no control over at all (was on a ghost went into a man cannon flipped over and splattered a teammate), the other 2 I could’ve probably avoided (using a wraith when playing Dominion to destroy the enemies shield doors) but have not been booted for betrayals so far. However I’m not surprised to see this topic come up again, it seems to have been an issue in basically every halo game so far.

mate, i’ve tested this several times in 4v4 and btb, and there is no friendly fire.

No, I’ve been purposely betrayed several times and never got the boot option. It needs to be more strict.

Others have claimed the system is too lenient and people are able to TK for an entire match without getting booted.

It needs to be 2 strikes and you’re out. No ifs or buts.
