Why exactly can you do that? i get it with sometimes but it seems people are just being way to uptight in social grifball and kicking everyone. It got me banned for 1 hour and i did nothing wrong on purpose. I am just saying in social grifball the count before you can be banned should be higher and if that is not possible then grifball games not counting towards being banned would be useful.
I can see… the logic that 343i were thinking with the betrayal leading to a boot option… I mean, no one wants to be spawn trapped by their three team members while the enemy just casually scores. But it’s honestly frustrating when I or a teammate is kicked because they accidently killed me or the others. Grifball is chaotic, especially with six bodies all going for the ball at once, and accidental teamkills are to be expected with gravity hammers swinging everywhere. And it’s VERY annoying to have a teammate kick you for killing them once if you’ve already killed the others by accident.
Overall, it’s annoying. Besides, it’s “social” (or so it claims).
It should have a betrayal… frequency to determine if it’s intentional.
Betrays of…
Same guy xx times in 2 mins or in a row.
Intentional<
Alot of total betrayals over a short time, excluding multikills from the same strike.
Intentional<
Betrayals of random and spaced out betrayals with enemy kills in between…
Accident? < until too many total betrayals
What would be allowed if it was like this?
5 betrayals of not the same person per 2 mins…
3 betrayals of same , 4 is kick, and 2 of other.
(Amounts can change, just examples)^
It would give a higher maximum for auto kick.
And give better known conditions for accidents.
Maybe throw in a betrayal warning?
Like last chance, one more and you could be kicked…
My Dad plays Grifball because he feels it’s the game he’s best at in Halo. Often, he’ll be careful and spend time planning out a good attack, but watching him, probably about 50% of the time he strikes at an enemy coming towards him, a team mate will boost in front of his hammer and get killed. It’s almost never his fault, yet he seems to get quite a few during the game because other players are careless and jump in his way. If he gets betrayed, he might grumble, but moves on. Suddenly, if he accidentally betrays a team mate because he has jumped in his way several times during one game, and he gets kicked for it, he becomes very disheartened and it’s not fun for him anymore. I honestly don’t think that the betrayal option works for this gametype. I’ve never seen players intentionally betray others, only through accidents. One thing that DOES definitely need to be fixed though, is the spawn camping that occurs. Enemy team mates will often wait on the spawn line and kill them as they appear. Not only is that not fair, I’d go as far to say it’s cheating.

OTHER PLAYERS ARE CARELESS. great explaniation. almost everyone is running towards the ball and then “spartan charge”, just when you swing the hammer, or throw a plasma grenade. i have never been kick out …yet, no hard feelings unless its a troll or a friend of the enemy team.
