So in ranked you can betray, which is fine nothing too big about that. HOWEVER, if the enemy team does any damage to you at all the enemy gets the kill and the betrayer walks away scott free… teammate in ranked betrayed me twice then would just follow me and shoot me until my shield were down and let the enemy kill me. But do you have a report feature that actually works and does s***? No.

You can report through Microsoft using their Xbox profile for unsportsmanlike conduct but probably won’t amount to anything. Best to just move on really, sometimes you just unlucky and play with idiots.
It’s always been like that. If the enemy damages you when your teammate betrays you, it gives the enemy the kill.
Hell, in Halo 1, if a teammate even so much as accidentally shoots you, you can kill yourself and it’ll count as a betrayal. People do this all the time to kick people who simply shot a teammate by accident.
My problem isn’t necessarily the betrayal and more the fact that 343i is doing nothing to mitigate the issue. 2 betrayals in ranked and he got to increase in his rank. He should have been booted and banned from matchmaking the second he got 2 betrayals.
Booted and banned is a pretty harsh punishment for something that could, in theory, be completely accident.
That’s why in Halo 2 and onward the game asks you if you wish to boot someone for betrayal, because they might not have intended it, while also giving you the option to remove players that are intentionally trolling.
Autoboot shouldn’t come back, accidents happen. But if they don’t even have the choice anymore, that’s dumb.
Agreed it should be an option. And when they stand directly in front of me and shoot me 4 times and proceeds to -Yoink!- my body. They need to be banned.

For the ranked playlist there should be rank/levels of turds where all the dirt bags can play together.
