Betrayal Booting System in Halo 5

Im in Breakout tonight enjoying friendly but intense competition. We are up 2 games to 1 with only one life per round. Then early in the fourth round my teammate kills me for what i assumed to be taking the BR even though im leading the team in kills. Naturally the next round i return the favor cause thats what you do when a teammate brings nothing to the table and is shooting your own team. 6th round, down 4-2 at this point, i proceed as normal when he begins to pester my teammates and myself with bullets. Again, im not going to lose this game because of this moron so i take him out once more. Then i get booted and banned for a half an hour. Something needs to be fixed, especially in Breakout where youre only allowed one life per round. If someone is sabotaging a game, why am i getting booted and banned when he killed me first?

Stop team killing people back. It is annoying, but don’t expect to do the same thing he is doing and not catch a ban.

Just keep annoying him and wait until you can kick him.

I understand the importance of letting it go but in a game type like Breakout, a goon like that literally loses games for the team. This is not an issue for me in any other circumstance but when youre only allowed one life per round, you really cant afford a teammate pestering everyone with bullets. And even then, when the initial kill is intentional, the boot should happen right then and there the first time.

But there’s no way for the game to know if it was intentional. That’s physically impossible. What if you were playing a game, got a rocket launcher, shot at a group of enemy players, and all of a sudden one of your teammates unknowingly walks in from of them, and you kill him too? Then you would get banned for an accident. Only way to deal with someone like him is to just ignore him and hope he betrays you a second time.

I would say, be smart with your grenade tosses and dont be reckless with your rockets. Any good player is going to know how to handle it. But still, what you are referring to is a big team game or standard slayer. What i am talking about is Breakout where there is only one life and there arent any rockets on the maps.
Im calling for a fix in the way they handle betrayals, if not in the entire game then at least in breakout. If there is a betrayal, accident or not, you get booted right away. At least have the option to forgive or boot like in the old games. It ruins the competitiveness of the game to have to pussyfoot around with getting someone to betray me again.

Two wrongs dont make a right. You’re equally guilty of team killing. Difference is you did it more.

Clearly no one is grasping the effect of betrayals in Breakout. And I will concede this argument to the deaf ears and arrogance of the halo community.

Because two wrongs don’t make a right.

There is a fine line between your childish two wrongs dont make a right statement and the actuality of the situation i was in.

I absolutely agree with this. I would suggest they remove friendly fire completely in this playlist. No one is ever happy being killed by a teammate whose parents didn’t teach them to share.

Agreed. Problem solved.

My suggestion OP is to just let him kill you multiple times and then boot him. He can be a baby all he wants, just don’t feed the troll. It sucks that you got booted though.

Same -Yoink- happened to me. Got a BR he shoulder charged me. I return the favor next round and the guy he’s with shoulder charges me. It was a game of -Yoinks!- so I don’t care if I was going to get booted. They were going to die next round.

People in this topic about “two wrongs don’t make a right” clearly don’t understand how aggravating it is because they themselves are casual halo players and not competitive. You get guys that betray you for weapons. Friendly fire should be taken off in Breakout the. If you get a weapon a stupid little wannabe try hard wants then they can’t betray you. Next game if it happens don’t even play. Just sit there and take the loss.

I completely understand what you’re saying.

They should just remove betrayels from this game. Most people who play it are grenade happy. I can’t count how often I’m going to pick up a weapon only to meet a random teammates grenade.

You should have taunt him back

It has happened to me as well. I did not retaliate. I blocked them and move on. “two wrongs don’t make a right” is not childish, It shows that you are the better man/women.

I hate those ppl happened to me a lot

I let kill me usually and kick them instead, avoid killing and let them kill you. boot them, they’ll rage at you for kicking them. I booted a’lot of players

Just provoke him to kill you and kick him, thats ehat he did to you after all

If you were smart you would have hustled him into killing you/teammates enough to get booted. Instead you got booted. Having a mic could have helped also get your teammates to each take a shot at him to kill him and or get him to kill enough to get booted. Common sense.
