Im seriously sick of this I hope this isnt in halo 4 or even friendly fire is off in Halo 4, say im in a scorpion someone starts hitting me, Who is it? My TEAMMATE. So I die and get betrayed again by his falcon turrent. So the only thing to do now is betray HIM.
And guess what happened?
I get booted.
Another example, today I was in my best game EVER.
Vehicular Manslaughter and Killing frenzy with a ghost on Mt lan lan. I go around the corner and BAM I hit my teammate who is a WARRANT OFFICER and I get booted.
Im serious I that was my best game mostly because I hadnt died yet. Because when I usually start to get sprees like that on non noobs and a bigger map, I get blasted by a power weapon or killed by Armor Lock.
If anyone agrees post below.
Friendly fire is a necessary evil it should never be turn off because then people would just blast rockets into each others backs.
When someone is annoying you in the scorpion you have three choices, first you can drive backwards so your turret won’t betray him and get you booted, second drive out into the open and get him dmrd off you, third be the bigger man and give him the tank
Never use a falcon unless you have teammates, falcon can easily get.you booted due to rotor blades and the laser glitch.
All your teammates have markers over their head, if you ran one over it is your fault.
Yes, the betrayal booting system is a problem. No, I’m pretty sure they can’t fix it. (See the other twenty threads about exactly the same thing.) Next question.
There are some times I’m glad that there is an ability to boot for betrayal. It might even be preferred if racking up too many got you banned (short-term), but for those jerks that betray on purpose, even if they made it impossible for them to directly kill a teammate, my guess is they’d find another way to screw over their team.
Bottom line, though is there’s no real solution to teammates being jerks except for only sticking to custom games and only playing with people you know are going to play the game right.
But aside from any technical problems with the system, if your misguided sense of justice tells you that if one person betrays you you should turn around and betray him back, you deserve to be booted. Not flaming, but seriously, that shouldn’t happen. Be the better man: don’t stoop to their level just because they want to screw around. Set a good example for other players to follow. Kinda like saying someone stole your car, so it’s ok to steal theirs…either way it’s grand theft auto (not the game).

Why would I want to shoot rockets into someone’s back? Waste of ammo if you ask me.
People already get to use armor lock and sprint and all those lovely things in Slayer, may as well disable friendly fire and just make it so you can’t kill your mates. Save the no holes barred environment for the organic players in SWAT.
I know exactly what you mean. How many games have I gone in to where some person takes the Sniper and I have to betray him, and sometimes get booted by him? So annoying!
it should be turned off on griffball

Sorry, but I actually find that one of the logical reasons to boot. I get tired of getting betrayed for stupid reasons like just because the other person is too d*** impatient on getting their grubby little hands on a specific weapon or other dumb thing like that. I have a right to boot you at that point for your stupidity. Otherwise, I do see some people all to happy to boot people for accidental mistakes that aren’t worth being booted for, and I find that stupid as well.

My son has done that a few times to players (booting for an accident) and it got him a household ban from playing for awhile. BTW, yes, I’m helping to raise the next gen to be good sports when games don’t go their way.
I never get booted for some reason. I’d say about 70% of the time when I get the Scorpion on Rasu, some noob tries to break my tank, I end up having to blast them just to save my tank.
OP you’re getting booted because you have enough betrayals to warrant a boot option for those you betray regardless of whether A) it was an accident B) you betrayed them because they betrayed you or C) you yourself pulled the cheesy move of betraying someone for a power weapon/vehicle. The less betrayals one has the lesser chance one has of getting betrayal booted. Either play with friends or ignore cheeseballs who feel the need to rage betray over a video game.

Betrayal booting is alrady is turned off on griffball

I think he means Friendly Fire should be turned off in Grifball, which it shouldn’t because then you could just constantly hammer your teammates to the plate without any consequences. It just shouldn’t happen.
Personal vendettas are a major downfall.

If the sniper betrayers want the sniper, pick sprint and get there first…but no, IT’S THEIR SNIPER and they NEED IT.

Next time anyone betrays you, allow it to happen. Yes I said Allow It eventually you will get the boot message, if you do Not then you need to contact 343 even send bs angel a message about it.
I only boot when when you make it my business to do so.
I just wish it was more consistent
It’s about as helpful as it is useless.
Now im PIED i get into a game where im doing good with splatters once again (close to mobile asset-silver) so i go to splatter someone and I SPLATTER MY TEAMMATE WHOS USING FING ACTIVE CAMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO it was my first betrayl of the match and I GET BOOTED and I love how he hesitates to get my hopes up about 30 seconds after the betrayl I get booted I might not buy Halo 4 if this S** contuines
btw I censored all that cause im not sure if cussing is aloud on the forums or not…

You have Rockets, your teammate is almost in melee range of enemy. You shoot rocket at your teammate, kills enemy leaving your teammate unharmed. BULL POOP. Same stratagy with sticky nades on Sword Base. Enemies in Top yellow lift, stick your teammate that is sprining in. Boom, room is clear and teammate is unharmed.
