Just when I think 343 is on the ball, they put the dunce cap back on.
Please tell me this was overlooked and not put in purposely. Sure, let’s give 8 players gravity hammmers in a close quarters gametype and keep betrayal booting on.
Normally I’d expect a hot patch within 48 hours, but then again, this is the dev that took more than a month to fix the Armory exploit in WZ Assault.
Good job, 343.
I’m sure they are getting lots of feedback from Grifball community already on this. I’d be surprised if this isn’t changed, even at the cost of Griefing betrayer kids.
So currently we have a post about this every couple of mins… in a few more hours the topics will change from “I got booted” to “I got banned”.
Yeah the friendly fire kinda hinders Grifball. But they usually release a mode and end up tweaking it with patches later on so I’m sure they’re going to change it.
Until then I recommend using the sword when you’re bunched up close with teammates, especially when you’re escorting the person holding the ball. Last thing you want to do is kill him near the goal. The enemies will most likely be swinging for the fences when they’re protecting the goal so the teamkilling might work in your favor.
Or if you’re playing with friends you can organize some passing to keep distance while still pushing forward.

The vast majority of bans are deserved. But Grifball has always been a gametype where bodies fly everywhere from hammers both friendly and unfriendly.
When did griffball come out that this is still a problem? I was about to return halo5 this sunday,
Bravo has stated on Twitter that they’re working on fixing it.
I played two matches got the option to boot about 20 times in the second one.
