Betray-Kick System Is Poor

Am I the only person that feels the betray kick system is awful? I’ve been in several games tonight where people betray me repeatedly (later I found out it’s because I’m an inheritor, and I’m not sure why that matters or why people care about that, but whatever). Then I betray them back once and they get to kick me? Its ridiculous that they are allowed to betray me but I’m not allowed to betray back. I know there are weapons that will always allow kick and some that kick on random chance, but I feel that there should either be a firm betray-kick system in place (no random, x betrays=kick) or a no betray system (no friendly fire).

I’ve seen people betray 10+ times in a match with no boot.

Generally people with clean records get away with 3 betrayals in a match before the option to boot appears then they have a betrayal record and can get kicked after one betrayal in subsequent matches but the betrayal record seems to clear very quickly as before long they’re doing their 1-3 betrayals a match for weapons/vehicles teammates are using again.

Sometimes the above isn’t the case and a player can get away with 2+ betrayals in consecutive matches without any punishment.

It’s a crappy system and if I get betrayed I betray back as I’m sick of people betraying me multiple times for sniper or other power weapon with no option to boot them.

The system looks at how many damage points you inflict on your teammates over many recent games (wild guess, maybe 50?).

If you retaliate when your team starts injuring you by shooting back and not killing them, you’re still racking up betrayals on your account.

I would suggest non-violent retaliation such as one AR bullet to their chest or air punching near their face. Then you wait for them to betray you and boot them eventually.

lol… Theres been a couple other posts about this issue… It should automatically be 2 betrayals with the 2nd getting boot option. Everybody accidentally gets one every now and then, and it would forgive them. But it would punish those that do it repeatedly.

We had a mate recently decide to take a phone call in the middle of a BTB game. Needless to say one of our mates took exception to this and decided to betray him a few times for laughs while he was AFK. Well 37 betrayals later our mate came back from his phone call and he didnt even have the option to boot the other mate after 37 of them. And this particular mate has over 2000 betrayals to his name against 120,000 kills in MM. Maybe it was because we are all friends and in a full party of 8. Maybe it was because there was so many it dropped the option off because the system figured someones was playing around but you would think after 37 betrayals you would have an option to boot.

Well, it’s their way of telling you to stop playing halo and go outsidde.

However, what i’ve noticed is that the less you boot people and the less you betray, the more often the boot option comes up. So if you boot EVERYBODY everytime you get the option, then it’ll start showing up less and less.

But if you’re like me and rarely boot, and rarely betray, you almost never get booted and always get the option to boot. I’m taking a guess, but i think that you might boot everybody every chance you get. To be honest, i can’t remember the last time i got booted from a game. The last time i booted someone was yesterday after they betrayed me for the sniper. Then, the shut off their xbox. After i sent messages of me laughing at them.

On the other hand, if i ever EVER get betrayed by anyone forerunner, reclaimer, or inheritor, I boot them 100% of the time. If you’re going to no-life a game, i reserve the right to boot you.
