It’s possible that we will have a beta, but only people working on the game know that… I really don’t think we NEED a beta.
If it will truly affect their progress then no, but if the game has many bugs and there was no beta I gonna flip out. The beta can find many of these bugs for removal.
He’s always been saying it’s not really part of the schedule, but he never said a direct “There will be no public beta”, so it isn’t completely confirmed that a public beta will not happen.
As long as they bring a polished enjoyable product then I don’t mind. A few bugs in the final release (an inevitable occurrence), so long as they are not too common and 343 is prepared to fix them quickly, is okay with me.
Of course we need a beta, especially after all these new changes their making have been announced. However it’s quite out of our hands. Just hope that they have just enough time between finishing the game and releasing it.
HELL NO!
THERE WILL BE A BETA. YES.
PUBLIC BETA? NO.
> THERE WILL BE A BETA. YES.

> PUBLIC BETA? NO.
Seriously i hope so!!!
They really should have one, but I don’t think they will. It seems rather silly to me to introduce the most radical changes to any Halo game to date and then refuse to let people test it.
i wish there was a mutha f***** beta! but prolly not… i just hope 343 knows what they are doing…
if there is no beta then there is no beta its not our say.
Based on the community?
We don’t deserve one.
Honestly the only reason I want one is for myself, it’s not to test the game and really give feedback about it, so no I don’t think there should be one. I really think 343 can test it well enough on their own.
… I really would like one though
I don’t find it that bad not having a beta for halo 4 because they had a beta for halo reach and they didn’t even change or fix the main problems like op nades, op rockets, slow movement, long kill times, and random bloom. The Halo reach beta was horrible and the full game isn’t much better because Bungie didn’t listen to there fans. So the only way a beta will really help halo 4 is if 343i listens to the hardcore fans and fix problems from the beta to full game if they don’t do this I think there is no point on a beta.
Game developers have to realize betas are not just for fixing glitches. Public betas are also made for the public to give feedback to help make the most balanced, competitive, and fun game. If we have a beta for halo 4 and there is a lot of things that need to fixed, tweaked, nerfd and if 343i doesn’t have enough time to fix all of them in time for the release date they should just make a day one patch.
Please 343i listen to the fans that have been playing halo since the beginning.

IMO people never talked about issues when the beta was released so bungie/343 didn’t really have to fix anything besides the few people that did talk about it or what they thought was best. 343 industries and bungie are really the only gaming companies that put so much effort into giving their fans what they want.

There was a lot of people including me that gave feed back on the problems in the beta but Bungie just didnt listen. Just imagine what Reach could have been if Bungie would have really made nades weaker, fixd bloom or took bloom out all together, made AAs only for certain playlists and put in the 1-50 ranking system. If Bungie made these changes right away, Halo reach would have a lot more players on right now.

Those are good suggestions but the beta is mostly used for fixing bugs not changing every matchmaking detail. I’m sure bungie/343 didn’t make those changes right away because they put all of their time into creating it just like that, why would they all of a sudden take out the leveling system and replace it after working hard on it. If all those changes were implemented right away it would just be a remake of halo 3 honestly.

True
We need a beta, Halo 2 had no beta and was filled with tons of bugs and glitches on the first day out. Halo 3 and Reach had a beta and they were a lot less bugs than in Halo 2 when it was out.
It needs a beta, or it’s gonna be a glitchfest when Halo 4 will be out.
