Pistol has a faster firing rate than the DMR. No bloom (100 percent accuracy), steady aim, fast ROF = more damage per second. Massivley OP but when used correctly is quite enjoyable.
ZB needs to renamed Team Pistols for greater accuracy so new players know what to expect from others who play it frequently.

The pistol fits its close-mid range niche, and the DMR its mid-long range. that is why it is a 4sk.

Why is the fourth headshot from a magnum lethal when the fourth headshot from a DMR is not lethal and they both appear to do the same damage to shields per shot?
Why? Because that’s the way 343 wanted it to be (so it’d resemble CE’s pistol more, I’d imagine). When shields reach a certain point it seems that the pistol’s bullet is able to skip the shield and enter the cranium directly. Aliens, mang.

I don’t think the magnum and DMR should be in the same gametype.
Slayer magnums or slayer DMRs gametypes would make the games much more balanced.
The magnum overpowers the DMR in almost every instance and it drives me insane.
I doubt it will happen but I feel this would be the best way to balance out zero bloom.
I don’t even want to think about how useless the DMR will become once the full auto 3 shot kill CE pistol gets implemented.

Agree, seperate the two. The pistol ruins the whole point of having zb dmrs. I’ll admit I’m not that great and I’m sick of being 4 shotted by the dang pistol. It seems like anyone who can spam fast enough now wins. What ever happened to pacing shots?
Another thing, 343 needs to increase the movement speed with zb gametypes to allow better strafing which might decrease some of the spamming.

You paced shots because of bloom. Since there is no bloom why would you pace shots?
