I think with the rocky releases of halo 4 and 5, we definetly need to be beta testing halo 6 so that when release date comes we have a full and complete game. I understand that there will be glitches and bugs but releaseing a halo with 3 playlists doesnt really cut it anymore. Im super stoked and hoping halo 6 will be amazing!!
O’Connor already said it will be. Apparently so will all future titles.
Honestly its the best way to get those bugs and fixes out before release date.

Hope for idea and i want to test the new warzone mode!
Infinite is going to follow on from MCC and have a beta that runs through the Insider program. If you were part of that for MCC, then you’ll know roughly what to expect

So does this mean there will be no open beta like H5? Also any idea of a timeline?!

I imagine it will be open for anyone to join. Moderators don’t get to know inside details like this, so we have no other info except from that is already public
I’m sure it will have a beta like H5 did.

Gotcha. Thanks!

I’m okay with that, at least it’s not like a ‘Pre-order to play the closed beta’

I have never pre ordered a game to play a closed beta, I never will. If the game has a free beta like BF5 just had I’ll try it. Halo 5 had a beta and so will Halo Infinite. I’ll definitely be trying to get into the next beta.
The key question is it going to be a open beta or a private beta
They’ve confirmed there will be betas, and even fighting, just don’t know how many.
I’m excited for Halo Infinite, because I really feel like 343 have heard us and are making the best Halo game to date! I’m sure we’ll be getting a flighting program like we had for MCC.
Betas don’t have anything to do with complete and full games, H5 is evidence of that. They’re nothing more than stress testing servers ultimately and that’s always been a betas main purpose. Anything else IE fnding and reporting bugs or simply getting to try the game and see if you’d like it has always been more of a bonus when it comes to betas. Furthermore betas are to small to really help a game reach “fullness” when typically they only have a set amount of modes. What did Halo 5 have? Breakout and maybe Slayer? Other games also only give you X amount of hours before your participation is complete. They’re really just small sample sizes of the game that you’d even touch.
Early Access would/can be a better solution when it comes to guiding a game to be “complete”, but hardly something they’d do with a AAA flagship franchise.
Might not be the best place to ask, but how does the insider program work? I’m more used to open Betas, it doesn’t cost money right?

No. Insider program is free to join. Just get the Insider Hub app on your console, sign up for the program, and you’ll start to see different tests you can participate in (not Halo Infinite test, just other Xbox-related tests).
Note that just because you join the program doesn’t mean you’ll see every test. MCC held it’s flights in stages; first a very small group of insiders was tested, and then for the final flight everyone who signed up to be a tester was able to try it. Infinite could very well follow a similar system.
There was a beta for h5… just not h4.

What do you mean by “Not Halo Infinite” do you mean because the beta is not out yet or…?
The beta is expected to last about 1+ month like H5’s did
