I’ve come up with an idea to replace a beta, simply have 343 forge some halo 4 maps and make gametype settings that feel like halo 4 and have the community play test them

Umm… no. Halo reach isn’t halo 4 even with similar modes. Nothing would get accompished
well I thought it was a cool idea 
I posted an idea the other day, but it was buried by the onslaught of haterade.
Make a demo version of forge maps, nothing to do with actual game. showing only how the game plays, invite the members from the forum and get feedback from them. Quell the mob and we get to experience a taste of things to come.
More likely the first month or so after Halo 4’s release will be a “beta period” where 343 will be tracking our votes, playlist populations, etc. and then determine what the “default” Halo 4 playing style will be and they will update things from then on.
