I’ve read this in a few posts now and don’t know where people are getting it from.
There is no population counter or any stats of the sort.
Is everyone puling things out of their butts or am I missing something?
i think its pulling out of butts, or that their friends aren’t on it. i mean to be honest none of my friends are but that doesn’t give me a proper estimation.
Well yes and no
There are ways to tell if a player base has declined without numbers
-how many people on your friends list are still playing the beta
-how long is it taking you to get matched in games
-are you being matched with players in your rank category or are you a bronze getting matched against gold and semi-pro?
All of these things are -indicators- of a low population
I haven’t noticed much of any change in population. As a semi pro ~1800(slayer) I’m finding matches quicker than I used to and its mostly against players of around the same rank based on the team I play with. I’ve noticed that the minimum rank to become a Pro rank in slayer is at least over 1920 as of last night, which is much higher than it used to be even last week (~1850). I feel like this is a sign that a lot of people are still playing in at least this bracket and probably the others as well.
As a European player, it really feels like that a lof of EU/Uk people stopped playing the beta.
90% of my matches are now on US Servers… doesnt seem right.
I still find matches pretty damn quickly, And with pretty balanced teams.
But then again, I haven’t player the Beta as much as I did in the first week. Mainly due to a lack of content.

Yes. And this game sucks with +200m/s ping…
