Beta for Halo 5?

Halo 4 had no beta. Because of this the game did not live up to the standards of past games. So much could have been fixed from launch.

Do you want a Beta test? If not then why?

There was mo beta for Halo 4 because 343 didn’t want us to know about the game simply put, i am sure 343 has learned enough to make their game better from Halo 4 and that there will be a beta!

Halo 4 did live up to the standards of its predecessors.

Regardless they should have a beta. Online testing always trumps in-house testing for a game.

But the only reason most people play betas isn’t to find bug it’s for what i play them for which is either to act as a demo or satisfy my anticipation for the game

Halo 4 IS the Halo 5 beta.

> Halo 4 did live up to the standards of its predecessors.

I would laugh, but I fear that you aren’t joking.

> Halo 4 IS the Halo 5 beta.

Just like how Battlefield 3 was a beta for Battlefield 4. It’s so sad that this is happening in the gaming industry.

> Halo 4 IS the Halo 5 beta.

And I pray to the Halo gods that they learned a -Yoink- ton from it…

As long as it isn’t as tedious and long as Dota 2’s…

I think the difficulty is that there’s no real way to reach a representative population for your prospective market except by releasing an actual game. While those of us on Waypoint are different, most people would not do anything with a beta - especially one that makes you buy a whole new console. So they could potentially do a beta that Waypoint / Halo Council / etc. people would play - but those who don’t participate on the forums are a much greater population segment and will have much more to say about the success or failure of a game.

So releasing a real game is the only practical way to do it.

it’ll probably be multiplayer only so I could care less

I’m not joking and the fact that you can’t respect an opinion is about twice as funny.

I really hope they do release a beta. They should’ve learned from Halo 4 by now.

No.

Halo 3 had a beta…

Look at how that game turned out.

A beta would be good. But on the other hand, Reach had a beta. And it seems many didn’t like reach even if it had a beta. I btw liked Reach.

But the question is if people want a beta for trying to help 343i to make it better, have very good arguments on what they should do and have many players agreeing.

Or if people are only there for testing and judging the game already there. And say the game is ether good (witch is good) or only saying “It’s bad, won’t buy it. Go back to square one and make it better”.

Like how it turned out excellent and a hell of a lot better than 4. I think you meant to say Yes. I forgive you.

I would love there to be a beta, but only so that I have something to satisfy my halo fix until launch

Yep, I want it.

Raises hand tentatively

For me? I hope not, it’ll push back Halo 5’s release and I won’t get to see what happens in the Campaign until later.

For others, though, it might be best to create the best multiplayer experience possible.

So I’m kind of ambivalent. I, personally, hope there is not a beta, but most people here focus solely on the MP so for them it would probably be beneficial.

Just my two cents.

Multiplayer should have a beta for sure. Campaign shouldn’t though because it would be a spoiler.
