Just wait until Gravemind, that first room sucks on Legendary. Personally, I think Regret is the second hardest mission in Halo 2, just because of the infinite Honor Guard Elites during the boss fight.

Yeah Gravemind was infuriating. I almost gave up, with Gravemind being the last mission I had to complete. I don’t know if this makes me sound awesome, but I didn’t struggle with regret at all lol. I forget what weapons I had, but the honor guards fell like grunts.

Many consider H2 to be more difficult in coop than solo. Congrats!
Halo 2 on legendary is like an old fashioned, side strolling shooter in an arcade where you go down in one hit and have multiple lives.
Except in this case, you only have one life.

Just use the scarab gun skull. Once you beat the mission on legendary you have to go back to the main menu> campaigns>halo 2> missions
Achievments will unlock
That’s how I beat halo 2 on legendary
Even with “cheating” it’s still very difficult.

According to some people above you can. I just wanted to know because I am trying to get past the legendary runs alone with zero skulls and I need to fast.
Well, something like Helioskrill is tied to the Legend achievement. If you have that achievement, you’ll have the armor when Halo 5 rolls out. I went and got it before the beta ended and trust me it was totally worth it. Halo 2 was pretty rough though. Rough enough that I had to make a youtube vid showing the many painful fails I had to endure getting the armor… On a side note, Halo 3 and 4 aren’t really even hard on legendary except for a few key moments. And I thought CE had the best legendary experience overall.
I’m so glad I already did the legendary run before the beta. My god is it time consuming, especially Halo 2. Someparts can’t be done without trying to run past everything.

Really I found CE to be an absolute horror (Two Betrayals, The Truth and Reconciliation, Keyes)

No, they only negate scoring and timed achievements, not completion achievements.
The opening of Gravemind is possibly the most difficult sequence in H2/H2A.
With regard to Regret, I save the Rocket Launcher for those first three Honor Guards in the last room, then rush towards Regret himself. I just pop any grunts that get too close and stay mobile with the pursuing Honor Guards. With this method, I am quickly able to kill Regret, even on Legendary.

So you can beat H2 on legendary with the Scarab Skull on and it will count towards the Legend achievement? That’s crazy. I wish I would have known that before doing it the hard, old fashioned way lol.
