In this week’s Spartan Ops, it mentions that Thorne also had no weapons or coms with him. He can fight back, but for how long? We don’t know the full potential of the Spartan IVs, but keep in mind that Noble 6 fought a large amount of Covenant with full armor and weapons, possibly heavy ones (rockets and such.) and still fell. I know this is nothing compared to the amount of Elites going after 6, but the point is Spartans can only survive for so long without back up.

True. But is it me or (aside from Thorne) are the other Spartans kinda -Yoink–y? The Spartan II’s are like “Yes Sir, whatever it is we’ll get it done.” The Spart4’s are somewhat untrained and careless. Just sayin.
Spartan IV’s scream everytime they see a fly appear (Spartan Miller) or talk more than they can fight. I perceive them as being ODSTs with shields, so no they can not take on 7 elites.

No what you are noticing is the point.
S3’s and S4’s are in every way inferior to the S2s. Halsey only picked the kids with the perfect genes to be Spartans. So from the very start these kids were the most genetically gifted humanity could produce. They were then trained non stop from ages 6 till… well they never stopped training.
All S4’s are, are the best of the normal soldiers. Basically normal people who are really good. They are not the most talented according to Halseys genetic markers and they are missing 12 years of non stop training the S2’s had. Basically all they have in common with S2’s are the steroids and armor. Those are just tools though, and good tools can only take you so far.
I really hope they start a new spartan program with 6 yo kids. Seeing these noobs from ODST, reach, and H4 spops getting pwnd gets old really fast IMO.
