How does the BestBuy preorder bonus work? For Gears 3 I went in, put $5 down and the preorder bonus code was mailed to me even though I never bought the game from them. Will it work the same way for Halo 4? I talked to a sales associate at my local BB but they were less than helpful.
well i asked the people at best buy how it worked vs gs and well the will email it to you on launch day. vs a code on or receipt.
I pre-ordered from best buy (online) and I can tell you that you get the full charge the moment you pre-order. If it counts for anything, it was store pick up. Codes get e-mailed launch day.
If you preorder in store, you put $5 (or more) down and then pick up after launch. Code emailed out after pickup. Online you pay for the game in its entirety, then after it is shipped (or picked up) the bonus digital content code gets sent your way.

I just want the preorder bonuses. I am getting the LE Console from Amazon, the .35 cent skin from Walmart and Gamestop prints the code on the receipt so I can return the unopened game for a full refund.
I know if you buy it online they pull the funds and hold them until release date so I went to the store where you can do the $5 down.
SO does anyone know, from past experience, if the preorder bonus codes are emailed out regardless of you having picked up your copy from BB in person?
