I’m looking into purchasing a new headset. Looking into the Astro 40’s and 50’s and also the trttion warheads and turtle beach. The price is not a issue, just looking for people and opinon about the headsets i have done as many reviews as i could.
Well, I’ve got the Turtle Beach x41’s and I think they’re great. The audio quality is excellent, as expected, and the fact that they are wireless is an added bonus.

I had the Tritton warheads for two weeks but sent them back because they were insanely uncomfortable on the top of my head then the right speaker went out.
I picked up the Astro A50s a week ago and like them, i was actually able to wear them all night when halo 4 launched, played about 8 hours straight and no problems with comfort, sound or the mic.
I would recommend the Astro A50s if you dont play competitive, the A40s if you do(because they are wired and wireless isnt allowed). Here soon the 2013 edition of the A40s are coming out.
My only problem with my A50s is that the side talk gets muted if you max the game volume, would have liked a straight up on/off for the side talk instead of what they did, Tritton got that part right on the warheads.
*the A50s do not come with a cable to adapt the older 360s to the optical cable if you want to use HDMI, so if you have the older 360 and want to run hdmi you will need something like this Optical out
I cannot tell you how much more i like these a50s than the warheads, ALSO!!! the a50s work for PS3 and PC, and you can do driver updates from the astro website!
I also use to use some turtlebeaches, the … x11s? they were pretty great and lasted 3 years so i gotta say turtle beach is also pretty damn great.
I am the complete opposite to the above poster.
I had the Astro A50’s and hated them, returned them for the Tritton Warheads Halo Edition.
I am glad I returned the A50’s as I love the Warheads so much more. They fell better and sound better.
At the end of the day its personnel preference we can only give our opinions.
