Reach’s ranking system is pure grind. Completely based off of performance, finishing games, and completing daily challenges (if those are still even active). There’s no way to rank up that is really easier than any other way.
I would have to agree with Noble 29, however, if your being serious, grifball is the fastest way to rank up and anyone who tells me different doesn’t know really anything. That is the fastest legit way to rank up. You actually can get up to four times or even more than that crap in grifball than you can in any other game type. I hit Inheritor twice and in a grifball match you can earn some serious credits. Like for Legend for example, if you are in a friendly match of grifball and no one scores or anything you can easy get 14,000-15,000cr a game. And with a higher rank the crap you earn rapidly gets bigger. If you play swat as a Legend or living dead and get the top score, kills, k/d you can only get a Max of 3,000cr. Now I would rather take a 18 minute game to earn over four times the credits you can get in any other game type but with that said. I will let you decide.

because they are exploiting the CR bonus at the end of the game by delaying it as long as possible
Simple its call many was to cheat with the game challenges or just play tons of griftball.

Don’t let people get to you. Grifball is very fun. People hate it because they see it as a cheating game type but I have been playing grifball ever since this game came out and all those years, it still entertains me. Other game types have never interests me. But it’s your perspective and your choice. Grifball is fun and competitive. And heck I might see you in the field as well lol
