Best way to play Halo 3 multiplayer

Hey,

I’ve just bought an Xbox 1 and want to play some halo 3 multiplayer. What’s the best way of doing this?

Should I buy the MCC or buy halo 3 from the Xbox store?

Despite some issues, the MCC is probably your best bet. Not only is it running at 1080p 60 fps but you could find plenty of matchmaking games.

The issues should be fixed in the upcoming update later this year.

Best bet unfortunately is the MCC, due to the fact most people seem to prefer playing it on that rather than on the backwards compatible version.

If you only ever want to play Halo 3, you don’t have to worry much. It pops up in Big Team frequently and people mass-vote for it almost every time and someone will typically dashboard if CE, 2, 2A, or 4 start to out-vote it which resets the search as a result. Game says my most played map is Standoff, and it’s not hard to see why…
