I’ve just decided to start playing Reach again, since I’ve pretty much mastered H4. Leveling up in Reach seems to be different, and I was wondering; what is the fastest way to level up?
Challenges is the main way I level in Reach.
Firefight + Custom Challenges = Fast Levelling.
It’s possible to get from Recruit to Inheritor in 100 days if you hit the credit cap (200k cR) everyday.

Last time I tried to do a custom challenge, there was an issue in the system that wouldn’t let me claim my credits. Did they fix this?
Grifball. DEFINITELY grifball.
Do that and draw out the games, you get tons of credits.
I think u should do regular slayer and play always to get 1st
I find by doing challenges and playing a lot of Griffball is one of the fastest ways of leveling up.
Boss mode in Grifball earns you the big bucks. I remember snagging 20k in one game of grifball after killing about 80 players and dying about 30 times.
I agree above with some others that grifball is the best way to earn credits. Let me explain the why and how.
Why:- Grifball was changed a while back to increase the performance bonus payout if you were on a winning team. It was meant to give you extra performance bonus if you won the game by scoring 3 bombs quickly. Well it didnt quite work out that way. It kind of got reversed and it awards bigger performance payouts the longer you are in the game. That brings me to the how.
How:- Just score your 3 bombs in " sudden death" ie: play out the full 4 mins for each round on the clock and then score your bombs in sudden death. ( you get 30 seconds to do so provided you dont drop the bomb in SD). Basically the longer you can draw the game out for, the more credits you get but only if you are on the winning team. Letting them score 2 bombs and you score 3 will increase your performance payouts even more.
For time spent in the game vs credits awarded for playing, Grifball beats Firefight hands down. About 14 mins of grifabll played the way described above should see you earn about double the amount of credits you would get for the same amount of time spent playing FF.
